This is day 268 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
A taimanov, an englund, and a dutch!
Maybe this is the worst series of games in the entire time I've been doing the series! A big 3 losses in a row! I am hoping I can climb back from this, but it's frustrating when you're winning the positions and you muck up repeatedly! I'll get them next time! I'll just have to focus more.
So far on the series:
226 wins 29 draws 187 losses

You lost 2 games from completely winning position you are taking so much pressure in difficult situations you just need to calm down your self and see all the possibilities before making a move
Yeah, I know.... It's harder to practically do that though. I don't know when I'm winning or when I'm losing. But yeah, you're right
B-man - You can do two things against the Englund Gambit. One is to study how to demolish it, which will take some time but can yield benefits. The other is to just play 3. Nf3. The latter is what I do these days - instead of taking that second pawn, just castle and all of Black's tricks go out the window.
Thank you for this tip! I will be utilizing this!!
@@Blunder_Man Yeah, no sense letting them play their game, make them play yours.
One thing that made me improve a lot in my games was using chess tempo to train tactics, 20 exercices a day, congrats for the channel, i am also at 1800 and trying to reach 2k
I should do more puzzles than I do... I'll start trying to incorporate them a bit more
Man the tilt hit you today. Not sure if you jumped straight into game 2 after game 1 but I reckon you needed to cool off a bit, started that game 2 with the wrong energy
There's always tomorrow though brother, you're still climbing overall 💪🏻
@@r0bz0rly I jumped straight in 😂😂😂, yes I'll get back to the climb!!
I'm glad you traded queens. Everybody needs practice in the endgame.
@@BrianGreene-i4o I played it very poorly after that queen trade though haha
Bad day at the office , but great content - thanks Owen!
@@dorianmoon haha, thanks man!
We all tilt, it is just a bad day, keep going and practicing...Perhaps couple of lessons in how to play a new opening or something like that....
@@Kitty_Hawk1 yes.. thanks man, I'll try
You need more time, man. Chess is hard. More games, more practice and you will be okay.
@@Misha_Ponziani yes yes and yes
x0
You seem tired and tilted. Do more tactics and play less games.
I definitely think I was, I just need to recognize that when I'm playing
@@Blunder_Man I've noticed that lately man. Maybe you need to take a few days off - like a deload week that lifters do lol
@@Imagoofygoober42 I'm not gonna stop uploading, but I'll try to rest more before playing for the day
