This game is so awesome. It combines the stages from MegaMan X to X3, elements of X4 (like the characters, Zero gameplay in Xtreme 2 and they even added that stance thing X/Zero does from the Playstation games) and all that in an 8bit handheld, it's amazing that even with all the limitations the gameplay remained intact and the game is still beautiful. The First Xtreme you can even play on a Super Nintendo with the Super Game Boy, it's as close as you'll ever get to the gameplay and elements of MegaMan X4 on the SNES.
Can confirm, was physically released on the GBC. I owned both at different times, there was some plot I barely remember with new villains setting up a simulation that used Mavericks pulled from both X and X2 but following the events of only one of the games... I think. Xtreme 2 had the unused leftover Mavericks from the combined roster and added Zero as an alternate playable character, who also got Boss Weapons, meaning you had to choose between X and Zero who you wanted to get a weapon. Zero's were themed around his abilities, X's were just the normal weapons.

Copy X didn't exist when this game came out. I know because Copy X was made 1 month into MMZ's development and this was released before it. Love your grammar by the way, you people are a rare breed on the internet
