      @insiainutorrt259 That's the fun thing about a trailer, being able to speculate what is to come. Maybe you're right. Or it might be a Ciri from an alt universe. Who knows. Personality can change a lot after 10-20 years. But we don't know her age. She has the same scar in the same place on her face. And the same hair color as well. Other than that, she managed to become a Witcher, which some claim she can't be. Other mean she can. In the books, it is say women can't get through the required mutations. They've tried, but none has survived. There is nothing more to it. Dosent means Ciri wouldn't be able to if the writers wanted her to be able to become a Witcher.

      I love it! And also your take on rather wanting to play a male character. You were almost defensive in that position and that should not be the case. It's personal preference. Of course we like avatars that represents parts of us to immerse ourselves in a different way. I actually play almost exclusively female characters, BG3, WoW, Cyberpunk... because I can relate better and like the sometimes more nuanced emotional traits of females. It's all the same, no need to justify.
      Anyway, I love the "new" Ciri. When you look close, besides a little bit of aging, she has exactly the same bone structure, straight brow line,, forehead, high cheek bones and chin like the Witcher 3 Ciri. What the Cinematic trailer does however is applying very harsh lighting at 45 degree angles in high contrasts. These contrasts were never seen in W3. That's why she appears different.
      And yes, oh boi, she is badass! the scene where she wraps herself in the chain to get closer and go for the finisher... amazing! And that scream! The new voice actress did an amazing job! I agree that the VA of Ciri in W3 was not quite on the level of the new one. The old one lacked a bit emotional range. But maybe it was also because of the way the lines were recorded and direction. All in all, I am super hyped!

      @@Llanovanya85 Yeah thats a nice detail with her bone structure. It would make sense that they used the original Ciri from Witcher 3 and made her look older.
      Yeah its to many out there that think your a bigot as they like to call others just because someone likes to play as a male. But I also as I mentioned dont mind playing as a female as long as she has a good story and a cool character. Thank you for the commetn and support! Its really nice to see how many are excited for this game even tough many aren't.

    They say only young boys can become a Witcher, but with Yennefer's help, Uma survived the trial and he was an old ass elf. there is also a little bit of book lore that says the cat school tried making girl Witchers, all young girls died but they hinted that some adolescent girls survived, about 1 in 10. I don't believe the school of the lynx theory, i believe it may be a stylized cat medallion she's wearing. Also with regards to how she looks, Gerald and Yennefer both looked very different in the cinematic trailers before Witcher 3. it would weird if she didn't look older and a bit more weather worn though. I'm definitely willing to give Witcher 4 a chance.

      Yeah and from what I learned from the books they stopped trying to make girls into witcher because they didnt survive. And then there wasnt any more to it. Does not mean there hasn't lived a girl or several girls that would've been strong enough. And seeing Ciri is very special I would understand if she would be able to become some sort of hybrid bewteen her powers and the powers of a Witcher. Food for toughts.
      Regards to her looks, me being a 43yo man thinks she looks very fine. She look more rough and tough which feels more natural. The whole environment is a place filled with danger around every corner. The designs and astetics are dark and filled with horror elements. So it would imho look wierd of she looked all pretty as some miss universe candidate. I like she looks more slavic as well.
      And you're right I remember how Geralt looked very different in the early trailers. Heck, he looked so very much different in the first game compared to the third.

    • @rafegraves1453
      @rafegraves1453 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      They also thought Uma might have been Ciri and Eskel speculated how the grasses would change Ciri implying that they would give Ciri the trial if needed and that Ciri could survive.
      Really the people complaining are showing that they didn’t pay attention to the books or games because there are some moments in the book that suggests there are female witchers, though it is never outright said.

      Respectfully, that is for sure a lynx medallion. It's the same as the one they put out for that title art, and lynx ears are pretty different from the standard cats. Also, cat school has a confirmed female witcher. Look up Dragonfly. She's pretty cool. She's from the TTRPG, but CDPR and RTalsorian do tie their lore together.

    Thank you for sharing your reaction! I enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
    I also played from there first game. I loved the use of the chain like Geralt used in the opening of the first game.
    Personally, I’m hopeful. I loved that you said the trailer was still the same ambiance as the first 3.
    I’m probably biased. I loved the chance to play as Ciri in 3, so I’m really hopeful for Witcher 4.

    I was thrilled with the trailer. It looks amazing. As for Ciri going through the trials...she's not your average run of the mill woman. She has elder blood in her veins. She breaks the rules. I understand you wanting to play a male character, but there are a lot of us female players, and we've been forced to play male characters for decades without complaint. Even when I have a choice I sometimes pick the male, just depends on the game, the voice acting and the lore. Ciri makes perfect sense since the ending of 3 is Geralt giving her the sword (if you went that route, I did). Side note: I think Ciri is pulling water then electrifies it with her elder blood powers. A trick Yen taught her. Nice reaction. Thank you.

      Yeah I understand that. One of my best friends is a female and she is also happy when ever there is a cool female to play. Like now she is rocking the witch in Path of exile 2. So yeah we've had three games with Geralt. It's only fair a female witcher stepped in.
      Oh that's so cool about the water. I can only imagine how cool it will look in the game, she holds her hand to the ground and pulls up water and energy.
      Thank you for the kind words and support.👊and welcome to my channel! 😁

    She is in the same league as Kassandra and Eivor Varinsdottir in the assassin's creed games. It's the same kind of female protagonist.

      Thank you for watching! You're right! I also got to think of Heavenly Sword that was a game with another female protagonist which could hold her own with a sword. And let's not forget Red Sonja.

    Ciri may want to lose her fertility by taking the Trial of the Grasses to prevent the prophecy about the destroyer of worlds (the one about her son from the W3 and books) from coming true. If this is true, the plot for the trilogy writes itself :) In the trailer the word ‘chosen’ and 'fate' are said several times :D 'You cannot change anything' said by the monster.. That is wild...

    The majority of staff that worked on TW3 are gone, I'm skeptical and will wait for reviews.

    • @Llanovanya85
      @Llanovanya85 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      That's not quite true. Philip Weber who did many quests in W3 including gems like "Wild at Heart" is Narrative Director now. Sebastian Kalemba joined during Blood & Wine work and is now Game Director for the Witcher.
      Of course there are new hires but there is absolutely no indication that any previous knowledge got lost to a point that CDPR forgot how to make a Witcher game like W3 and remember what worked and what not.
      Of course being sceptical and waiting for reviews is not wrong. But having followed CDPRs development since 2015 and having 1000h in Cyberpunk, I am pretty confident to say that I saw how CDPR has learned and is back on the path.
      I'd trust them more to produce a good game & story than any Ubisoft title announcement.
      A base negativity is not necessary I think.

      Thanks for watching! It seem to be a controversy for many, but the important thing here is a good story. We have had three games with Geralt. It was time for a female protagonist.
