It is obviously very beautiful and expensive (I live in CT and the thought of the price they paid for this is impressive in a way) however I will admit I wish they kept it a little more true to the period in which it was built. The home looks very modern, and could easily pass for a brand new build if I didn't know any better.
The outside and inside of this home is just so beautiful! Love the staircase, the railing is just so lovely! This home has a 'Happy' feeling all over it, just wonderful! I love those two cute furbabies too, which really completes the home!
Beautiful for a vacation home and party home. They met and excelled some design and artistic challenges. But it's too bad there's no appreciation for history here.
It is a beautiful house but for me not homely. I also feel the structure isn't solid. Of course if the weather is consistently calm this wouldn't matter.
" I decorate with very little color", what is wrong with color? I am so tired of gray, taupe and slate. In 1904 houses were colorful. Break out the box and start a new trend.
It’s her personal preference. Nothing wrong with personal choice. Just like there’s nothing wrong with your being tired of of neutral colors. Her home. Her choice.
@@robli1852 I don't think it's a personal choice. I think it's a choice to attract buyers. A lot of people want bland colors so they can add what color they like. Of course we all thing our color is great but potential buyers may think: "What the bleep is that sea-sick green?" So everyone who wants to sell their house peels down the wallpaper and throw beige, off off off white, neutral gray, taupe etc.
Yes I noticed that. This is a house. I think people use certain terms to push the cozy-ness to sell it. Like cabin (it's a trailer) but cabin sounds so much better.
I disagree. I think it is beautiful. Keeping to a calm, neutral palette is a design choice, not a default option because you can’t do anything else. In this case I think it works perfectly with the architecture of the house and the beautiful views of the harbor; they all complement, and don’t compete with, each other for attention.
@@sallypattonwilley5942 We won't be living in the harbor, we'll be living inside the house trying to make it a home. Realtors always, always tell sellers to repaint their house with a neutral palette to appeal to more buyers to sell the house. It's all about getting the most money. It sure wouldn't be a calm palette to me. I'd be whipping out the paint brushes pretty quickly., Oh and wallpaper. Yup!

Totally agree. We have a 1796 home which we did not renovate. We restored.
Just so beautiful!!! Those views. The house is so large, I'm sure there's room for me. lol
OMG! SHOW IT! "I LOVE THE BATHROOM" AND THEY SHOW US A SINK! beautiful, what little can be seen

Great video of a stunningly beautiful home ❤️
I think the fact that the house had to be split in half was a great thing. Allowing 2 families to enjoy it's charm and beauty.. Well done
I would like some color in some of the rooms. I would deck out a formal living room with a warm color, vase lamps, chintz pattern furniture.
Stunning well done you Guys you have a very beautiful home
That is a beautiful home, inside and out. Love it : )
Beautiful And spacious home. Soo blessed 🙏
Stunning views breathtaking Dreams Realized
Beautiful home
he probably lived in that era in another life. Lovely taste and ideas
Love color of front door.
The only way I would keep the wood sculpture (that’s in the entranceway) would be to move it on top of the fire pit in the backyard 🔥
So funny... agree... what do we know!
Beautiful Home🌺🌺 Very Cozy 😌
I love it! 😍
I actually wouldn't mind living on the Eastern Atlantic Coastal region... But my God is it expensive.
Breathtaking. 👍🏿
Stunning
I want it. Beautiful.
Jeeze, that's alot of windows to clean!
A beautiful home but the contemporary furnishings do not suit the style of this home.
I agree. What is wrong with traditional style? Pottery Barn wasn't around in 1904.
It’s lovely...
The home has relevance, comfort and class. I'm interested in the artwork what was the artist name?
Beautiful for a vacation home and party home. They met and excelled some design and artistic challenges. But it's too bad there's no appreciation for history here.
Love it!!
Very nice. Very expensive.
It is a house...a home is an emotional term for a place you have as a family or personal base. This is a HOUSE and a HOUSE renovation.
And all you need is LOT'S & LOT'S of money!!!
Yeah you have to work for something like this! 😂
Beautiful
Amei!
Now just Imagine having to pay for a home like that in Connecticut.
I do not understand how anyone could complain about one thing in this million dollar home with water front property.
Sweetie, this Home is way more than a MILLION...
Your decor is nice, but basic neutral colors...is the decor selection of the homeowner?
It is a beautiful house but for me not homely. I also feel the structure isn't solid. Of course if the weather is consistently calm this wouldn't matter.
How much will it cost
A lot of Money To Clean this house👑💵💵💵
Looks like new construction on the inside. The remodel lost the home’s character.
An historic home…1905……I’m British, 1905 is practically a new build.
MONEY... MONEY.. MONEY...NICE!!

I think it's the want for simple calm spaces....also personal choice.

@@robli1852 Then buy a modern home and don't destroy a part of history.

Split attached house? Keep it
canada and america have the best houses. they better then uk
Vom Haus sieht man ja nicht viel aber die Besitzer und die Moderation . Schade
It is a HOUSE. Home is an emotional term, not a building.

Awfully cold looking = very formulaic
These folks have too much money.
WTF IS A FOIERRR, ITS PRONOUNCED FOI [like boy] yay, foiay
That round piece with the wood is the most ugly piece of art I have ever seen. So bad I had to comment. Otherwise beautiful.
Orribile from italy
Just let me know if you need a second wife.
she is maybe the most unimaginative "designer" I've seen yet. So incredibly bland.

Their favorite color is grey.
