Really I don't understand why the "gregorian canto" turned into guitars and volk music in the modern church.
Because, through the Second Vatican Council, the forces of modernism were unleashed upon the Church the Faith and the Liturgy. You could google such as Dr Taylor Marshall - he puts blogs on TH-cam, and he has published - among others, a book entitled 'Infiltration'. He and others explain what is happening to the Church, and why it is happening.

You are right. Experts believe this is based on the marching cadence of ancient Roman legionaries. True Gregorian chant is not martial; it derives from the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. It is our inheritance.
Much better than the Anglican version recently heard at the coronation of King Charles III, which was a shorter version by the way.

Whose version of Veni Creator Spiritus is this? It was also sung during the 2013 papal conclave at the Sistine chapel.
Cool isn't it? It is also the same conclave that Msgr. Marini took part as Master of Ceremonies.

@@tommynin do you know whose arrangement is it? Aside from the 2013 conclave, I saw a video of the August 1978 conclave wherein it was also sung but this time, during the procession of cardinals on their way to the Sistine chapel.

One sees and still feels the majesty of Catholicism here in these Papal liturgies. The church, the music, the vestments and the Latin language glorifies God in a most respectful and profound way. I think that the faithful who love TLM just want this in their lives all the time. This pontiff and this church has something precious, and he, unfortunately want to deprive the Catholic faithful of the world of it. Novus Ordo only. For this reason, I worship at an Episcopal Anglo-Catholic church. We respect the majesty of God and show it in our worship. I do still love Holy Mother Church though.

Lo Spirito scappa da quelli che condannano al posto di Dio (e solo su menzogne e calunnie) invece di offrire preghiere e sacrifici per quelli che giudicano colpevoli, secondo l'esempio dei Santi. E li lascia nella loro stupida illusione che il giudizio arrivi solo per gli altri (...).
E pensare che i Santi tremavano al pensiero del giudizio... .
