These dudes sound super humble and ready for the opportunity that stands in front of them. Excited to see them grow as players and men, great job Mr. Dawkins!!
This new FO with Dawkins and Winger got me excited. Sarr has me very excited and I think we got something special with him. And Bub and Kyshawn are gonna be great for us also
One thing I really took away from this conference is the way Bub carried himself and how he answered questions. He could be our main guy in the future!!
We came to the draft expecting to get Sarr and I'm glad that we got him. But I think Bub will be my favorite among these three rookies. I haven't seen his game yet but after watching some interviews and this press conference, I feel like he's a born leader the way that he speaks. You couldn't tell that he's only 18 years old.
Coming from a Lakers fan, Wizards fans should be EXTREMELY EXCITED for this draft class and the future they are building out. Post Beal era, this is one of the best cases you could hope for with a young core of Sarr in the front court, Bub whose only 18 years old, George at the wing, and potentially more trades to get more young players or draft capital for Kuzma/Jones. Also, you probably want to develop these young guys so losing a bunch of games next season should be the move since 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most stacked classes in the Top 10 of next years draft class!
@@yeshuathebeginningandtheen1497not necessarily, the SL is entertaining but it doesn’t matter much, I wouldn’t take it too seriously and sarr might not even play in all the games

My question is how can the Wizards introduce Bub Carrington when Portland drafted him and the trade can’t become official until July 6th? I mean, the Blazers can’t even talk about the Deni Advija trade yet.
Nice line. If Bub would’ve stayed in college we all know he would’ve been a #1 overall pick so we did hella good getting Bub. Definitely satisfied with our drafting 💯
@@TheRealTeflonRon we're just now starting the rebuild and Kuz is a player who would instantly be a veteran contributor for a playoff contender. Makes little to no sense to keep him in this current timeline, especially as we try to land the top pick in next years draft. All of these guys will be just ordinary NBA players. Watch Deni Avdija become a big star in the NBA. The Wizards will never rebuild because they always trade their young talent and get nothing in return. Not a fan anymore after 50 years.
Deni is a good player… But, don’t act like he’s a superstar! He might make an all-star team before his career is over, but that’s about it. He’s not and will never be a number 1 option on any team.
@@couptakeover Never said he would be a number one option, but he is getting better every year. If he played the minutes and was told he could cut loose and get a lot of attempts....I guarantee he would be among the league leaders in scoring. Mark my words, he will be an NBA star and he will scorch the Wizards when they play. Remember....was Joker considered a great prospect early in his career?? No...he was believed to be a ordinary somewhat good player......... If the Wizards become a good team in the next 2 or 3 years, then I will have been wrong......but I doubt it. They will just keeping trading away young talent and start over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.
@@brianskoi In the NBA, you are either a star or a role player. To be considered a ‘star’ a player has to be elite in at least one category (scoring, rebounding, passing, defense). Deni is a good role player. But he’s not elite in any category. As an organization, the best time to trade a player is when his value is high. I agree that Deni has gotten better, but not enough to say he’s not tradable. This is a new front office that has seen young players develop into great role players to superstars. If they feel that Deni has reached his peak or close to it, then it makes sense to trade him for younger talent that they feel can reach Deni’s peak or better. They drafted Bilal last year. They both play the wing. He’s already shown that he’s a better on ball defender than Deni is at 18, 19 years old. As he adds strength, his potential is much higher than Deni’s. I like what they did with the draft picks this year. Young & athletic with rookie contracts. I understand your point and you make a good case. But, I believe this front office knows what it is doing. The direction of the team is looking up with young talent that will be developing together. In a couple of years, they’ll be better than many of the Wizards teams we’ve seen in the last 5-10 years.
