You'll be out grilling sausages in the garden before you know it. Have you ever made the pots with pieces of china saucers. Tske the broken pieces and glue then to the pots and then grout them for pretty and colorful designs.

Peonies are my favorite flower, though they don't last very long in bloom, they are quite spectacular! I had to remove some soil from the top of the crown in the dirt because mine did not freeze, therefore, no blooms. Check to see if there is too much soil on top of the crown. You should be able to almost see it poking through the dirt. And they need air circulation as they grow quite big from year to year, so no overcrowding or they could get mold. They do become like shrubs when they are mature, so give them room.

Our plant shops aren't stocked yet, still so cold, but I won an Ice N Roses Hellebore at a plant show last week! Yours are quite expensive, ours run about 17USD. Have you seen the yellow hellebores? Amazing! Your garden is, as always, lovely, and how nice to be able to dine on the terrace!
From experience the peonies get bigger or fuller year after year so when you see a big peony ‘bush’ it’s over 5 or 6 years at least. But your zone is warmer than us in Calgary Canada so likely they’ll mature faster. I don’t know.
