    You do not owe Kenyans an explanation it is your prerogative where you stay. I am a Kenyan and I only stay in Hotels. They like to get in peoples business. Blessings.

      Thank you. We don’t mind explaining some things. We have found as most people continue to watch, that they understand our perspective and see that we have a reason to doing things like we do them. Again..Thank you for your support. Blessings to you and yours

      @@TravelCheckInsI also don't mind giving unsolicited advice to good people, get a good apartment in a nice neighborhood, you probably already did. But it will be nicer but cheaper to make it a home, you will loose that hotel service and restaurants in just a signal dial though so, choose your battle wisely.🙂

    Thank you for sharing your journey and thoughts on living in a hotel. I am American also, and just got to Nairobi a week ago. When I was in America I would not even consider a hotel not even for a short visit on my trip here to Africa. But now that I am here (traveling alone) I think differently. I totally get what you're saying about conveniences and dragging luggage. I started in an Airbnb but had to move because the WIFI was shotty. I ended up moving to an apartment with maid service and boy did my life change. This apartment is largely filled with Airbnb customers so they offer a lot of hotel-like services which makes my life so much easier in figuring out the town, where to go... Also, to your point everything is in walking distance. The cost of transportation has been cut tremendously which makes long trips to indigenous areas more palatable for me. Anyway, I am visiting two more countries and the hotel route is looking very good to me now. Again thanks guys. Kwa heri

      Hey be safe on your journey. A lot of people won’t understand the hotel route until they experience it. Check in with us and let us know if you do a hotel and how it compares. Be blessed

      We think there are enough content creators telling Americans they can get a place in $200 - $800 a month. We came looking for some equal too or above what we already have in America. Or else, why would we come and live less comfortably than we did at home. We are glad you are enjoying the videos. We appreciate the feedback too. - Saidah

    Great content - never thought of it like that - I guess most guys moved from hotel to Airbnb due to the cost element but I get that you guys prefer convenient living as it's what you're accustomed to. I am not sure if you exhausted the Airbnbs in the area you like which looks like it's Westlands. It would be great to see the cost analysis as Saida suggested just for our general knowledge. God bless.

      That's just like USA if you stay in a certain part of the US and go to Chicago or a state where gun laws are legal open and carry you will see it aswell

    • @TravelCheckIns
      @TravelCheckIns  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We are from an open carry state. It looks a little different here. We can carry pistols and the police have them. We don’t see the assault rifles as often as we see here. The rules are different in the US for those.
