Using it with my beats, it's surprisingly good and I can finally have some type of surround sound till my birthday when I might be able to finally get a pair of surround sound headphones
I have had this software since the day that Razer released it. Currently i am rocking the Razer Kraken Pro, that i have had for over a good year. If you choose to use Razer Surround, it is an amazing experience with music, and first person shooters.

Been using surround since it came out (idk why they're just now making a video about it) works fantastic and lets me hear where people are.
I didnt really find this software helpful for games, but listening to music just got 200% better because of it's cool features and EQ. really love this software :))
I got a notification from Razer Synapse saying I could get it for free. I got it, calibrated it, and it works like a charm

I think most people like to use Razer Surround for games, but i use for movies and for watching tv series.
And i have to say, even in free version i'm using, the result is amazing, good surround sound delivered on my simple stereo headphone.
Watched "X-Men: Apocalypse" with DTS-HD 7.1 yesterday and was the best surround sound i've ever heard on my headphones!
I just got some Kraken Pros not too long ago, will have to test this out :)

I've been using this for a long while, so I'll help to answer some FAQs:
Does it work? Yes.
Does it decrease the audio quality? No.
Does it work with any headset? Yes!
Does it work with speaker? No. Well yes, it's compatible with any audio device. It just won't sound very different unless it's setup in a certain orientation (similar to that of a headset, and even then it'll be strange).
Is it worth trying? Absolutely.
bobsaysftw I bought some beyer dynamic DT 990 pro. Using with my sound blaster zxr sound card and 600 ohm. Love them. When I get home ima try this. Got the headset so I could use my sound card. And it’s definitely louder. Hope this surround sound program works

Any future watchers, They have updated it so ITS NO LONGER FREE. You must have a razer product to use this program now.

Alex Jenkins I have been using this for a rather long time, and I can deffently recommend it. One thing its not as great with, is games like LoL where you play from at top wiev. But other then that, its fantastic. :)

its great, it works great actually, you do need to calibrate the headphones first, its easy to do and really changes the experience.

I cant belive this works so good :O I am so impressed! have a 200 eu audio technica stereo headphones. I can actely now hear exactly where the shot is comming, where they are walking/running, and how far. (Pubg Bf1) . This will without a doubt help K/D/R! Good job razor! +1 respect

it did something alright, made my headset lose all sound, had to uninstall it to be able to listen again
Made the sound lag for me, only noticed in CS:GO when muzzle flash would come early, won't recommend with Osu!
of course because osu mostly use perfotmance from sound card
best software ever, i bought so many stuff of razer and they can look at it, since its uploaded to a cloud, so they gifted me this software with an email activation key, and now, 4 years later my tiamat 2.2 is still working, exactly like my razer lachesis which is now 8 years old and my razer deathadder! I have a stereo system at home but I always watch movies in headphones with this software. Surround effect is very realistic. The only problem is that it delays audio by 100-200 ms. So I have to correct it in Media Player Classic.
i opened my pc casually and i wanted to check the razer software for mouse to check the dpi and i got a notification, it said that i got razer surround pro for free, i clicked claim it activated the code from gmail and now i have the pro version totally free, wtf razer?

zZoKo Actually I had this happen to me too. Scuffed up the activation code that came with my Tiamat 2.2, then I couldn't read the code anymore. Then boom activate Razer Surround Pro through email. Really surprising.

If you get a Razer surround sound headset (i got a Steelseries Siberia Elite gaming headset [Sowwy Razer i do love the mice]) then you should be able to. Just get a job or find a way to get money and save up :). Razer Synapse is %100 Free no in-software purchases what so ever.

No. Logitech has no universal application, all of the emulation is handled by drivers and usb soundcard.

If you turn your PC on and off regularly and/or update Windows or Synapse, it can happen that Razer Surround Pro also resets itself. Happened to me twice and I have to recalibrate each time. Razer has to look into this as it seems to be a fairly common issue. It is an issue even on the Razer Insider forum.

+Josh Tatsuo [Bogellenong] I have no issues with musical use, though the stereo enhancement adds a fake soundstage which can be good or bad depending on what you listen to.
***** Exactly. Now for something like M20Xs and a crappy DAC/AMP, some of the EQing features help and stereo enhancement for the soundstage. Games like Battlefield with an already great sound engine, you don't need Razer Surround but I use it because the stereo enhancement option helps open up the soundstage so a helicopter doesn't sound like it's in my ear and something on an old unreal engine isn't the simplest form of stereo ever (Smite).

I had an original chroma blackwiddow but here's the thing. I had this software, i used it for years lmfao now I'm on a new pc i can't even get it anymore cause the keyboard apparently it's registered on my account anymore. so I'm pretty bummed
I have setup my audio in windows to 7.1 surround with my Beyerdynamic DT770, and a simple Asus Xonar DGX, and I hear precise and crisp surround sound. I don't need this crap.
Of course it is, why have 24bit 96khz audio when you can get 16 bit 44khz with Razer Surround :)

today I have installed your freeware Synapse and was completley astonished, the charms it does with the sound is just amazing, tested in game , CS:GO, but with the first seconds of the round, I have noticed one thing - sound delays. Like, I shoot, can see the animation, bullet actually flies out hitting the victim, and in a moment later sound thundered , like 100-200 ms. delay, cannot get why? And that's awful. My soundcard is standart, integrated one. Headphones are ATH-AD500.

You have to have a pair of headphones that support surround sound for this to work. Like EarForce. Using simple stereo headphones compromises the sound drastically.

I have used this for quite a while but there is one thing that annoys me and i am not sure if its normal. Razer suround starts up when i start my pc, so there is one active speaker for my headphones and also one for the razer surround software. But when i start up my conputer the sound from my headphones is muted and i have to turn it on manually. Is this a bug or completely normal? I have been trying to find a way to fix this but i can't figure it out. It's not like it is a big deal to turn it on but it annoys me.
