She has been part of the girl group f(x) since their debut in 2009 but only recently released her EP, ‘Beautiful’ earlier this year. Listen to her personal story about music, life and love. A： 說實話，我沒有機會，而且我自己也沒有準備好，你知道的......我不會隨便做什麼，除非我有信心做好.....

A: 說實話.....我有一個非常美好的童年！

Amber is seriously my role model and just thinking about it makes me cry. She is such a sweetheart and kind person with a quirky twist. She is happy with who she is and I really feel upset that she is still made fun of for the way she dresses. I love her to pieces and I hope one day I can meet her.
nm2do Honestly, when I saw her on Just Kidding Party, I was questioning whether she was male or female--because she looked so different! Then I remembered I had heard about an Amber in f(x). But this is good, Korea needs someone like her to spice up their market. We have Michelle Rodriguez, they have Amber lol I like it, she's real and down to earth--most importantly, she oversteps the boundaries of what we know to be Kpop. She's showing the world that you don't have to be all glammed up and a girly girl to make it in the entertainment industry.
Nelly Gonzalez That is exactly what I like about her, that she is herself and doesn't try to fit in to a society where "looking like a boy is weird". She is such a good person and very friendly. When I heard her song "Beautiful" I cried. It definitely opened up her past/current life and the bullying she received. I guess I can relate this I dress and act just like her. If I ever get to meet her, I am going to give her the biggest bear hug! & I am subscribed to her TH-cam Channel, if you aren't, you should. Its called "What the Pineapple"

love this interview..the interviewer is really nice & polite & ofc, it's always a joy to see Amber & hear her thoughts..It's also a relief that this interview is mostly in english(for ifans)....I've always known that Amber is a good person & really a good role model esp for teens out there. Dara & her are my only 2 female bias in kpop....love Beautiful, it's meaning & her voice....

I don't know her music (or KPop in general), but the more I watched this interview, the more I liked her! It's rare that you see a young pop star that is THAT grounded & ernest... it's really cool that a Taiwanese-American "tomboy" can achieve such success in the KPop world, she seems like a great role model for kids/teens!

amber看起来像男孩子一样，可是却有一颗善良柔软的心！新专辑的歌都很适合他！希望他今后可以保持这颗善良的初心，这样继续带给我们更多感动！fighting！
She is so cute and have a great personality . She knows how to be cool and funny but in the same time she knows when to be serious. I admire her.
When she started talking about what being beautiful means to her and how she made the album for people who are underdogs or depressed, so that they can be inspired again, I teared up, because that’s literally what her music has done for me. I lost all energy and motivation towards all of my passions, as well as simple tasks like eating, staying hydrated, talking people, I just stopped functioning. When I found Amber’s music, it inspired me, it encouraged me to go back and try my passion for writing again, and if it wasnt for her I genuinely think I would’ve given up and just drifted away. Her music helps so much and she has no idea how much it has helped so many of us, but she still makes music, she still keeps writing, and Im doing the same in order to help myself. Amber has helped bring me back, she’s allowed me to start being me again, is one way of putting it, and I am eternally grateful to her for that.

And she proves why I think she's one of the most talented persons in the music industry. Composes, dances, raps, sings beautifully, incredible stage presence, and actually not bad behind the camera too. You don't see this much ability in most singers, especially here in the USA.
Can I also say, sometimes, I wish she would be a little bit more feminine. She's pretty, but all that beauty is hidden in her boyish image.
