- How to change the coolant on the Dominar 400? How to flush radiator? Motul Motocool expert review? Best coolant?
The coolant change process remains same in NS 200 and RS 200.
All these questions are answered with step by step coolant draining, radiator flushing, coolant replacement, coolant top up process in this video.
Riders also use Vinegar (Acetic acid with water) for flushing the radiator but don't let the acid concetration go above 15 percent.

I have changed the coolant but forget to remove air bubbles by keeping the engine on and also filled the reservoir , it has been one week , can I do that process now ?? If not than what problems can I face bcz of this ?

I have been facing vibration problem near fuel tank lid on my D400 whenever bike reaches 3000-4000 rpm in second, third gear. My bike has done only 450 kms. Please suggest a hack for the same. I am also a DIY person so would love to see a video about it.
Hi Kaustubh,
Tank has a couple of rubber bushings and 2 foam type damper, one on each side. If you are facing rattling from the tank then you can check if the bush and foam are ok.

The outer cap was sealed, but there was no inner foil seal for my motul motocool expert coolant.

Why should I wait for till the fan kick in just add vinegar as u said acetic acid and clean until clean water comes! I am asking because I have separate switch for my AS 200 as I can't get relay for it?? So when ever I feel hotness in my Engine I on the fan !! Is there any connection with fan and that water exchanger!!

I am an ardent follower of your videos, your videos helped me to have a better understanding of the aspects in maintenance of our motorcycles and cars ourselves.
I was hoping if you could help me with an issue, there is something wrong with the cooling system on my 4 and half year old AS200, the outward drain to radiator from engine opened up after the bike heated up. It just pops out under high heat, bike has lost all the coolant and I checked if there was internal gasket leak.
The issue seems to be with a clogged radiator due to hibernation of 6 months.
Can you help?

Hi bro i recently changed coolant in my dominar from service centre. They used wurth coolant and I feel my bike is heating more than usual. He also didn't released air bubbles from the radiator. Do you think that might be the reason for overheating or its the wurth coolant that is causing issues. Please help thanks

Yes, trapped air cavity will cause problem in heat transfer.
@@thesportztourer I didn't checked the coolant model number, it was dark green in color. Also the mechanic unscrewed some bolts, it was near the radiator coolant release screw. I have never seen someone unscrew that bolts while doing coolant change, don't know if he did something wrong with my bike. Is there any screw which can restrict flow of coolant or it mixed the coolant with my engine oil?

Can you make a video or share a link why coolant is getting mixed with engine oil and to avoid it. Unfortunately even d400 bs6 variant has this issue and many are facing this problem just in 100km ride from their purchase date.

Sad to know about issue; the Dominar in this video never had such problem. Coolant and oil mixing primarily occurs due to busted gasket. The gasket acts as an seal in between oil and coolant jacket, this can either be due to overheating or defect in gasket.
@@thesportztourer hi. I have been seeing your videos since I have filtered 2 bikes as of now rtr 200 and dominor 250. Wht I found out that for new bikes in dominor coolant gets reduced fast. But yesterday I came across one owner who said even for first 100km there was no change in his collant level. That's pretty confusing now. Does it mean during service we will have to ask them to check gasket seal. I did not test ride both the bikes. So what would you advice.
Also one big con of dominor is Bajaj service is pathetic so I will have to find a mechanic.
Out of two which one would you suggest.

Hi Parth, I won't say it's impossible but it will be a very difficult job specifically to get everything working accurately. I have past experience where I tried to fit Karizma's console on an another motorcycle but it was not an easy fit specially with all the guages.

How much coolant did you fill?
Also make sure you observe the level window properly as this particular coolant looks transparent from outside.

It's normal for a new motorcycle where the chain and sprockets set in but it won't slack so frequently after that.

Hi, I own a Yamaha '18 YZF R15. Owners manual says to change coolant every 2 years, but hasn't mentioned about the kilometres. Mine is 2 years and 3 months old now and had covered just over 9000 kms. Do you recommend coolant change? Or when should I go for it.

Hi bro 🙋 the main stand of my new Apache 200 (12 days old) has broke I.e., @ joint of the angle given to push with the foot. Got it gas welded but it broke again. Will this be covered under warranty? Could this be caused by wrong technique of applying stand? Please help.

How did it break? It's a strong steel part. You should have taken it to the authorized service before getting it welded.
My sincere suggestion will be to get it replaced (even if the service guy refuse warranty) as I won't trust a 150kg motorcycle on a regular gas welded stand. It can be dangerous not just to the motorcycle but also to someone (specially kids) who are around the parked motorcycle.

Thanks 👍 I observed the lever had moved out of place when I tried parking it and it could not lift the bike. The welding guy told me it had not been welded thoroughly but only at a part.
I did take it to the showroom first where I was told to come back the next day for the welding. So, I got it welded myself the same day. I will ask them for a replacement under warranty. Is there an online store to buy it, if need be?

Usually its the gasket. Gasket failure causes the sealing between the oil and cooling jacket to fail causing oil and coolant to form a mixture.

I usually prefer 1.5 to 2 years. No plans to change the coneset as it is still working fine, will make a video when it needs replacement 😊
