It can be based to any of the thing. it can be time based too. just like you go to a shop in morning and night. the prices of perishable items would be at margin neutral and really low coz the shop keeper wants to make sure his capital invested in the veggies or eggs can be recovered atleast. dynamic pricing means the price can change based on variables which can be defined by the pricer !

Dynamic Pricing also depends on Demand and Supply, sometimes when there is huge demand they raise prices
