- Sam starts pushing Sonny away as her feelings for Jason grow stronger. She realizes he is worried about his role as dad as biology and parenthood come into question. General hospital Sept 1-3, 2004.
The way Jason looked at Sam right after she said: "I am going to accept you exactly just the way you are." That was a new feeling for Jason. He never had that before. Such unconditional acceptance without any judgements. Sam definitely took him by surprise. She took his breath away and little by little she was taking his heart.

Sam said it all. Jason it's a great Dad. Sonny is just the father of record. They are not even in the same league when it comes to fatherhood. And once again, here their were having an intimate conversation about a subject matter that Jason usually didn't have about it with anyone. But with Sam, Jason had no problem being honest and communicative. He even allowed himself to be vulnerable around her and he let his guard down with Sam. It was pretty simple, throughout all this time Sam had shown Jason that she has a clear understanding of who he is and that she actually gets what he is all about. She has shown him that she truly cares about him and that she accepts him unconditionally without any judgements. But most importantly, around Sam, Jason doesn't have to explain himself because she gets his lifestyle. After all she an outlaw just like him.

Again I do agrees mostly with your assessments of JaSam, however, I feel you never watched him & Robin together. I just watch an episode from 2012 when Robin “died” in the lab trying to save him & he didn’t find out right away & he went off on Sam for holding back (to protect him post-surgery, and he says that she was still his friend & that “more than that, anything good I have started with her.” 🥺❣️) Sam wisely & respectfully did not say anything against that & she seems to accept that Robin holds special place in his heart as well as Jason & Stone do in Robin’s. She was the first & main person to teach him about life & what things meant post-brain surgery & accident, just as he was the first guy to show her attention & affection despite her HIV status she had just gotten from her late boyfriend. They helped each other heal, learn, & feel freedom to explore new things with the knowledge that the other had their back. She had typical fear of the organization, but Jason actually replaced her boyfriend Stone working for Sonny after he passed. So she was familiarized with it already and was not scared for several years until Jason was badly shot & then when she almost got blown up in an explosion he tried quitting the business instead of letting her go. He has not tried that for anyone else, although that could be bc he figured out he can’t exactly…Robin sometimes gets a bad break about how uptight she is, but as Patrick kind of put it b4, she has had to really become protective of herself due to her medical condition, losing her parents at a young age, discovering they were not really dead when a teen, but instead chose their adventurous job over her, and then living with her uncle who had struck rules he enforced.
They still have that chemistry and hopefully they get back together soon!
Boom! Jason fell in love with her I think right their, "when she said Im going to accept you just the way you are" that is really what.he.always wanted someone who wouldnt try to change him!

Sonny's tryna use faith and justice as a cop off cause he knows that Sam and Jason are getting closer and now he's pissed off because Sam isn't eat outta the palm of his hand anymore and we all know that Sonny can't stand to lose. He's making any excuse to be mad a Jason!

Sonny is just to damn selfish, it's always me,me,me with him or I want, I need.Sonny says Jason is like a brother to him I just don't see it not with Sonny but always with Jason, he gave up Carly & Michael to Sonny, when Jason told Sonny he would take care of Sam &his baby everything still had to be about Sonny, ordering Jason to kill his own cousin was so wrong on so many different levels but when Jason wanted to kill Ric Sonny wouldn't let him,what a liar & hypocrite Sonny is.

Even back then he could talk to her, it's why all their miscommunication didnt make sense. Each time they broke them up they just changed their dynamic completely so they can justify the break up. They connected before they even liked each other, their story was well written I wish they wouldn't temper with it from time to time. They are doing the same to the Robert×Anna love story with the recent rewrite 😞😩
I attribute the completely different dynamic during their breakups to Jason's brain damage and sam's encephalitis! LOL!
but Sam didn't have encephalitis during their really bad times. the 2007-08, they changed her completely, even her hair.
I was joking, only kind of, but I think the true reason for changing dynamic was off screen, though I am only speculating. There was a vid I ran across from 06 where KM/Sam was on a panel with CARLY, ROBIN and others but they asked about best kisser and Kelly mentioned Steve's tongue, Laura/Carly eyes went wide and robin made the comment, "Ah he's married" after that Liason happened abruptly. If these things didn't play a factor, I agree poor writing and strategy 100% Then again, I have seen couples break up and do crazy things out of spite. The thing that made no sense at all was Sam's character with SB/Steve recent return, her initial reactions were just awkward on all accounts and even now, what she thinking, what's he thinking, why aren't they doing something about how they feel??? Writers??? KNOW THEY CHARACTER AND BE PLAUSIBLE AT THE VERY LEAST.
True JaSam sometimes I can't help but feel that something is going on off screen too but Steve has always been a Jasam fan, I guess even that could get him in trouble with his wife with the tongue comment lol. I read in some comments once that RH is Mrs Burton's friend and she was more comfortable with Becky than KeMo. It's all speculation😩 I wish I knew for sure lol
True JaSam do you remember what that panel was from 06, where KM commented about SB's tongue...? I also agree with you about them in 2018 I just want them to hurry up and reunite already and work on baby #2 for them (Danny is their only child together) like we saw in her 2012 fantasy a girl would be nice so that Jason gets his daughter with her, but a boy would be ok...Jason could make up for the 5 years he lost with his son Danny. Either way just reunite and procreate already JaSam.
Dang Jason and Sam cant even have a conversation-Sonny! If thats true than why cant Michael visit with the Quartermaine's? Didnt he say EVERYONE has a right to know their family Right!!
At this point I think that Jason would have picked Sam and the baby over working for Sonny!
When Sonny was barking these orders about killing Justice, did Jason even think about the Quartermaines? Did he even think about Edward? Would Emily and Ned be still supporters of Jason? Would Jason kill Monica or Edward if Sonny asked of it? I couldn’t stand Sonny a lot of times but what pissed me off is that no one really put Sonny is his place and there needed someone to be.
This thing I hate about Sonny Justice is Jason's cousin funny is asking him to kill his own family member
I thought Kelly said he was the best kisser and that's it! I know there was rumors going on about them and I think that's why they broke them up! Kelly sat on Steves lap at super soap weekend and I am sure that was an issue considering he's married!!

Not my style, but by 2004 standards, Sam’s maternity wardrobe was pretty stylish. Especially for a soap opera🙂
