Loving the justification for picking the foilfow. :D One could argue that picking that foilfow is pretty much like picking 45 more cards to your deck since it should finance most of another draft.
You know pulling a foil force is pretty much the same thing as winning several drafts, so I guess by that logic it was the most correct pick by a mile.
Winning a draft is worth 8 packs, which is worth more than the foil FoW. Foils online in non-redeemable sets is the biggest beat, since they're not worthy any more than their normal counterparts. Heck, I played against a guy who drafted mana crypt + jace, which on paper would be sick, but online, is only $10 lol.
+Anarchy heh if only the prices in paper were so nice, I might be able to play legacy more. It's a shame really too because I feel legacy is the best format by a large margin.
why do people get so upset when the drafter picks a card that is valuable but doesnt fit in their deck the best? If it were me, I would pick whatever the fuck I wanted.
because it in no way helped the deck to win. Waste of a pick if your trying to win. If your on a budget there is a small argument, but a professional shouldn't really have to rare draft like that
I completely understand why the pick was made but people get upset because they're here to learn how to draft better, not to watch someone google tix values.
As I was about to go bed, I thought to myself: "I really wish CFB would publish more LSV drafts. Some of the limited content lately has been straight up slipping, and useless to immediate to expert drafters.. " And here we are now! yeeehees yes yes!
I think picking the fow wasn't as good as a play as taking the vamp. The vamp gets any card in your deck at instant speed. the card is INSANE in sealed and limited, and imo is a much better play that the off chance of out tempoing your opponent with a clutch pitch of fof. Besides, counterspell is doing the same thing for 2 blue, and fow is most likley going to be a 5 mana counter that you cant cast lol.
Rare footage of LSV actually raredrafting.

no respect for the Werebear. It's got rights too, ya know. - lsv.
I assume it has the right to bear arms?
werebears new art and flavor text r both horrible...i cried when i saw it for the first time smh 😢
Yeah it got a downgrade on flavor text
Thank god you had the Fact or Fiction for pitching to force of will...otherwise you would have had to pass it!

It helps you to break even, you can't blame him for the pick :)

"No Respect for the Werebear, he's got rights too you know." LSV is referencing the Original Flavor text for werebear haha
First pack you see Entomb, Animate Dead and Inkwell haha, that's just the nuts for reanimator.

Magic pros do *not* make enough money for that argument to hold water.

Congratulations LSV!!
"I don't really have much of a choice here."
Lol. Trying to justify the [FOIL] FoW pick with one single blue pick so far :D You're awesome.
Lol. #forcegate
I mean it's CFB what did you expect? ;)
Oh whoops hadn't watched the video yet, assumed LSV was just forcing an archetype :P That FoW pick was hilarious though
I'm not a fan of humble or being humble -lsv.
It's really a shame that splashing blue for the foil Force didn't quite work out
If anyone deserved to crack a foil FoW, it would be you lsv! :)
keep up the good work lsv
It's funny how close Swords and Invigorate really are.
forcing fow. i love it :D
my draft had a foil FOW and a Sneak Attack... I grabbed the FOW also ;)
Riftwatcher is awesome, especially if you're planning on playing field of souls lol
Oh NO! He forgot that FoW!
Love how force of will didn't actually make the deck.
How many tickets does foil fow go for online?
25
26
This could have been a great blue, dimir, or even grixis control deck. Sadly that wasn't too obvious pack 1 :/
a lucky Foil of Will there
dat P3P1
Umm, you forgot force of will...
