I believe that the reason why this SCP's classification and containment procedures were so off were due to the SCP being captured and contained a decade ago. That was why it said that the file was "under review" and that "information is subject to change and may contain inaccuracies" in the beginning.

It is basically a semi-intelligeng creature that the foundation locked in a metal box for ten years. With nothing to do, basically solitary confinement. So obviously it kept screaming and screaming because it was terrified and wanted go get out. This file mostly serves as a way to show how inhumane and barbaric the foundation can be, and that if given the chance - an scp can be more than "just another murder monster" if they just give it a chance.

“I have hope for this class-D” that has to be the first time anyone’s ever said that in history

One of my favorite SCPs to go back to and read about. There is just something so engaging about it story wise. A scientist finding the SCP contained under restrictions of a prior age and finding out from tests about just how much more there is to the SCP is so heartwarming. The ultimate showcase of the change in time and systems when it comes to the Foundation.

This SCP is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover".
Also, if you want to see an actual SCP murder monster, I suggest checking out SCP 4666 from Dr Bob.

On the keter classification, it's also used if the SCP is harmful to the general population, so even if there is a containment protocol, IF there is a breach, it will result in people being targeted. 682 is another Keter even though its contained, but that's also because its actively malicious towards humans, and they have no understanding on how to kill it. 5031 doesn't starve and it ceases existing when directly observed, so that implies it ignores some laws of reality, and that's dangerous water for an SCP. But that's also why the file is under review, Doctor Huxtable is actually making the effort to understand the SCP.

This guy is definitely a critique of the Foundation's treatment of anomalies. It makes you think how many other 'dangerous' SCPs would actually be quite friendly if the Foundation treated them better and focused more on tending to their needs rather than trying to keep them locked away somewhere.

Volgun added the keter classification. There wasn't a containment class in the original.
Personally, I'd mark it down as Euclid both before and after testing. It's intelligent enough to want to get out, but its capabilities are pretty well understood and easy to guard against.

I personally like the keter classification since it's adds to the initial misidentifcation that people have when viewing a keter scp. Usually when you see keter you just automatically assume it's some kind of hyper dangerous entity.

    • @Nerdnumberone
      @Nerdnumberone 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

@Chakrashuriken I suppose that this being a parody/response to old articles might justify an erroneous keter classification. The people who wrote the original documentation were obviously unreliable, making several mistakes and assumptions.
By the definitions of the containment classes, however, this SCP is elucid.

This is one of my favorite SCPs. A nice story of treating something we don’t understand with respect.

Also it was caught. so imagine something that looks like that with the mindset of a child loose. It's properties would alow it to blink in an out of existance and jumpscare people looking like that. It can't speak like us so what does a child do learning from us who run away screaming at it? Chance are if people attacked him in defense and fear it learned to do that too. AKA you taught it to runaway and scream and kill.
This test series taught it skills and kindness wich it mimicked and grew up.

Safe to keter is a box test,
if you put it in a box and are sure with never opening the box or expending resources the object won't leave the box and nothing will happen, it's safe.
If you need to do something but it doesn't require much resources, and there is little chance of escape it's Euclid.
If constant supervision, large amount of resources, or it will actively try to escape, it's keter

It's a fast learner. You show kindness and show him how to do something he will learn at a fast pace. He doesn't need to eat but loves to eat because its fun :D

Scp explained is an awful data farm channel. Its also noted for making frequent errors, and frankly the style just doesn't work for some SCPS.

Also you should react to a video on Cain and Abel if you haven't. (SCP 073 & 076) I think both the Exploring Series and the Explained Channel have videos on them. Pick your poison but the characters come up alot.
