Oh this is going to be an unhealthy beautiful codependent relationship with so much chaos and although I tend to hate unhealthy relationships (even in fiction) this feels likes it’s leading to them both bettering themselves (nay- them all) and won’t stay unhealthy, my usual compliments to the chef server and wait staff, everyone on this project did amazing
Okay I finished and I mean with the most love and admiration screw you all, y’all have no right making it this freaking good, none, y’all have no right to make my heart swoon and break and jitter in excitement, y’all have no right to fill me with this much fear and excitement in such a short time span. So kindly with all my admiration, love, and heart, screw you all /pos, lh, hj

I'm really curious to see how this relationship plays out. Remus in canon is a pretty interesting character and in this story I wouldn't be surprised to see his love take some unhealthy turns. Logan, on the other hand, is desperate for love and care and although I am a cruel intrulogical fan, it's always interesting when a relationship is formed out of pain. It can either be incredibly strong, or incredibly fragile.

@@typicallyUntypical I think it’ll be a little of both, they’ll be incredibly strong and close and incredibly unhealthy until one of them turns around and goes “this isn’t working, let’s fix it together” it’s fragile and one wrong sentence could break it but if things go right it’ll be great ✨ (that’s what I’m hoping for 😅)
And yeh rem is my favorite character cause he’s such a menace with so much potential, it’s kinda odd to me he exists tho, cause he’s not really “darker creativity” like he’s definitely that, but he’s intrusive thoughts (which fundamentally are based in anxiety and flight or fight) and the way he acts almost is like Virgil in the beginning just more unhinged. I think it’s for two main reasons and I have a similar thing w Roman but, they aren’t really intended to exist (not quite sure how else to phrase it) but they’re almost a trauma response, and two, both of them functionally serve creativity as a secondary role, rem is basically intrusive thought first and creativity second, and rom is basically fun/perseverance first and creativity second. I think the main reason it’s less noticeable with rom is cause he doesn’t encompass someone else’s area if that makes sense. Either way he’s an incredibly fun character

@@Yourlocaltrashgoblin Okay! I actually have a theory on that! So y'know how Janus is deceit but Patton also calls him self-preservation at one point and Virgil is anxiety but also seems to react to the words paranoia? Right? So my theory is that Remus isn't "dark creativity" or "intrusive thoughts", I think he's catharsis. In the most recent episode WTIT all of the intrusive thoughts he gives Thomas are centered around a specific feeling that he isn't dealing with, a pain he's trying to repress and Remus obviously wants Thomas to address that pain. I think Remus' job is to push Thomas to do the things that will provide him a catharsis from that pain, writing dark stories, making dark art, those are all things that provide an outlet to people in pain! The restraints on catharsis are often related to anxiety over social pressure and Remus' act could be intentionally calling out how Virgil, in his attempt to protect Thomas, is inhibiting him from getting the help he needs. I doubt we are going to get any kind of confirmation but that's my theory.

@@typicallyUntypical oh I completely see your point, but what if neither Roman or Remus are creativity, that’s a secondary function (think Virgil with memory) I’ve never felt that the “Virgil is paranoia” ideas made sense (they remind of Virgil dying cause of anxiety meds, which at most he’d be drnck lol), it’s fun to watch things with (and totally a valid belief) but I think more has to do with Virgil not liking that paranoia is only bad, it only has negative connotations, anxiety isn’t inherently negative, paranoia is. I completely understand what you mean by catharsis, I’m not quite sure I’d place him at that, I feel like the characters go by terms that aren’t quite right if that makes sense Patton:morality, Logan:knowledge(not logic), Virgil:the four f(s), janus: self preservation via deception (with an emphasis on keeping face), Remus: ??? (None of it feels quite right) with a main secondary for creativity, Roman:??? (Same as rem), orange: anger and catharsis (I feel like he’d probably be catharsis, maybe even share that with rem).
Rem and Roman seem to share traits and don’t function like a “normal” side, they literally cannot preform their base function without the other, they aren’t innately creativity, which sorta leaves them in this awkward space of bumming onto others traits, think of every function they preform and note it’s all someone else’s job at its core. The reason it’s less noticeable is cause Roman “has been socialized” and sorta can rein himself in, while Remus can’t, Remus is probably a lot stronger and more effective purely due to lack of suppression, while Roman is likely running on empty, neither can function without the other and I think (if) the series goes on they’ll get closer and preform more effectively.

@@Yourlocaltrashgoblin see I think orange is going to be anger and Justice, especially since sometimes catharsis is about crying and being sad and opening up emotionally, but I can see other thoughts though. Also I know a lot of people aren’t big on it but I love Roman as pride, because pride is one of those things that’s important to have but also vilified so it would be something he’d want to ignore or hide.
