That is the COOLEST STITCHING PATTERN I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!! How did you do that the way you did it????
Edit…. Never mind… it’s the regular saddle stitching … the chisel markings made it look like it was a Triangular stitch at the beginning of the video… then after seeing the end when you actually stitched it, it is normal… still looks cool though!

Я все ремешки делаю под конкретную руку. В этом случае нет необходимости делать фиксированную шлёвку. Достаточно подвижной, но более широкой.
Если делать с двумя, то при правильной длине ремешка, подвижная будет находитья вплотную к фиксированной и вечно съезжать.

это не обучающие видео. я их делаю просто в удовольствие, просто для заказчиков, чтобы они понимали, как это делается.

Thanks for the video, can I use finished leather instead? Ex:// 3oz buttero leather. Do I still need to apply castor oil in that case or can I just fold the leather like you did?
Castor oil is used to give the leather a darker shade and make it softer. Instead of castor oil you can use neatsfoot oil or saddle soap. But I do not recommend using buttero leather for straps. It is very tough.

Hi. I use Kenda Farben SAR-30E polychloroprene glue for this. But niw I use Ecosar 116 Synthetic Latex glue.
Are those China made pricking irons? They went in so smooth. I have a set but they are dull. Did you sharp it yourself? Awesome skill, btw!
Yes, most likely, punch tool from China. But I bought them in Russia. Their teeth are polished from all sides, therefore, they punch the leather well and do not tear it when removing
For this I use Italian veg tanned calf leather 1mm from Nuova Grenoble factory. I buy it in livemaster.ru

Касторовое масло оставляет кожу жирной, надо вазелиновое, кожа сухая после него, я ещё воск добавляю
Ни чего оно не оставляет, если в меру его наносить.
Нужно ровно столько, сколько кожа в состоянии принять. По хорошему, нужно копытное масло, но на момент съемок его в наличии не оказалось. А касторовое потому, что оно не окисляется как другие доступные масла. А вот воск - фуфу...
Он будет постоянно вылезать в виде белого налета.

Привет. В начале видео появляется надпись: кожа натурального дубления 2.5...3,0 мм. Тогда ремешок должен получиться толщиной около 6 мм, или я чегото не понял? Если не секрет, где такую кожу покупаете? А в общем ничего нормальй ремешок по вполне доступной цене. Молодец. Да еще: что это за клей которым работаете, жиденький, прозрачный не пачкает и интересно его сушите. За видио спасибо, приятно было смотреть.
что такое "кожа натурального дубления"? там надпись - кожа растительного дубления. И толщина там указана в унциях, а не мм. 1oz = 0.4мм.
кожу купить можно где угодно, вбиваете в поисковик и получаете кучу вариантов. в ВК куча групп, где кожа продается. Ярмарка мастеров опять таки. Но разу приготовьтесь к тому, что она продается шкурами и средний ценник 7-8 т.р. за шкурку.
Клей - наиритовый. И он не сушится, а реактевируется температурой.

4:25 this is not the correct way to cut. This is a Japanese styled knife.
You can even use a table knife, if that's convenient for you.
