Wheel Spacers look great… But you’ll get immensely annoyed after a few weeks of driving and the rear wheels are rubbing on the inner edge of the wheel arch. when you’re pushing the car along a country road, or down bumpy A road or going over a speed bump.. there’s a reason why Audi don’t make the stance wider, and that’s the reason. (I’ve fitted 15mm spacers on my RS3) and I’ve ended up removing the spacers.
😂😂 thought you might come to that conclusion, and it’s annoying! I took off those rear mud deflectors.. but the rear wheels still rubbed on the wheel arch.. it’s shame because the car stance looks great with them on. 🤟🏻
@@tomcaveracing Super late reply, but do you think the 10mm would be ok? I do drive my car somewhat hard on California back roads so theres a lot of hills and such. Kind of a shame the factory fitment is so tragic, especially in the rear lol
From my opinion (Car designer here) this is nice, but has a feeling of now making the body feel too narrow for the wheels, I think doing 10 on the front and 15 on the rear would have made it super flush to the wheel arch flat of the body. giving it that super OEM look that I’m sure the Audi designers would have been working so hard to achieve(wheel to body relationship is one of the core things in achieving a good stance when designing a car) anyways nice car man!
@@phillipbarclay5764 will do, I think that sounds a lot more reasonable for the spacing, gives it a more wide stance but don’t have to worry potentially about hitting the arches on a deep pothole(if that ever happens) I have an Audi myself and they are very good for the wheel to body relationship compared to a lot of cars , so just needs a little additional help to make it look spot on!
@@strivetodrive4086 good to get some different views though hey :) you see Archie Hamiltons Maxton mods? What do you think of that rear diffuser? I like the front splitter - not decided on diffuser yet - its on a saloon so up your street :)
@@phillipbarclay5764 yeah like the idea of a kit but I am waiting to see what else comes out before I commit , I think CT carbon is more my cup of tea ;)☕️
Hi Tom - interesting to see as I am waiting for my 8Y to arrive. Personnal taste and all that but from my view you have gone too wide with these - the back especially - no longer looks OEM to me but of course its all subjective. On one of R44 vids they talk about 20 or 25 being maybe too much after a few hot laps on track - now i am not planning to track mine but why is that? Makes me concerned about some runs down some twisties in the countryside etc. Another one of theirs they have 15mm on the rear and 12.5mm on the front - for my taste that looks perfect - the wheels are no longer inside the arch but dont protrude either - looks very factory - I defo will look at having some of those on the carbon black when I get it sometime in 2030 at this rate! :) Top car though mate - dont ruin it ;)
Hello, thanks for your comment, I do agree it is borderline, I don’t want to ruin the OEM look as it is so nice stock, in person the front actually looks too wide , it naturally tracks wider then the back, hope your wait isn’t too long Phillip!👍
It's an interesting discussion. They say here in Australia, spacers are illegal on some vehicles. Coil overs would be a the better option. But the price goes way up. Hopefully when my car lands this year, I will look at more options. I do believe 15mm 12.5 is perfect also. 20 25 is way too much.

12mm front & 15mm rear will be going on mine ! Better and subtle stance
You could have done it yourself at home. The car looks well better with spaces on 👍
Pretty
Beautifull motor mate 👌🏼
Thanks very much!

check out R44 with the 12.5 on the front and 15 on the back - looks spot on to me anyway :)

Is there a hole in side wheels went? Or they are just fake?
I recommend 12.5 and 10 perfect setup or 1010
Hi Tom, the Porsche you filmed is a Cayman not a GT3, its just a body kit
Honestly? A ten minutes video just for spacers? Really? 😄
is this "kamora grey" ?!?!?! its looks amazing
thats Daytona Gray pearl effect
Hey Tom, just spotted your car on Archie Hamilton's new youtube post. With Spacers it looks so much better!!
Yeah I was there , had a really good chat with him, top bloke !

Спиннеры еще поставь и будет афроамериканский тюнинг.
Monster 5k carbon ceramics up front and then the oem A3 rear brakes out back.. what in the Audi is going on
Is that brake kit came with the car or options ?
You can order the ceramic brakes as an extra, but not a cheap one, it costs roundabout 5k.
What made you go with spacers instead of coil overs
Was more to do with the cost than anything , £234 inc fitting for this , whereas would be £800+ for decent coil overs
