Such a clever way to use a shower curtain, pretty dress, worth the hard work to alter it. Merry Christmas, keep warm!
Thank you, Eileen. Hope you are cozy and warm as well.
You look beautiful in your dress.
I love the blue print.
Thank you, Lauri.
The dress turned out beautiful.
Thank you
Dress fabric is great. 😊
Thank you! 😊
YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL.
Your dress is a one off fitted and tailored to your body shape. You are also human my flower, because even the pattern makers don't get it right first time, please remember that. You twirling around in your beautiful dress brought back memories of me doing that with my rock n roll dresses that my Mum used to make for me as a child and older, and that was the very first thing that i ever did in each dress, was make sure that it went out with the wind. Take lovely lady and sending you crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland
Thank you, Norah, twirling is a very important part of dress making 😄
That fabric print is stunning 🤩

Thank you, Michael! Shower curtains are an un taped source!
Gorgeous dress !!
Thank you 😊
Hi Karina. I love the shower curtain dress. The drawstring looked so crisp and neat. I always love hearing you explain what you’re doing and why. The twirl at the end was priceless. Thank you for sharing with us. ❤ Diann
Thank you, Diann, I love a crisp and neat drawstring 😍 . I can't help all the explaining, it's like my sewing teacher side takes over as soon as I start talking about the process.
Really cute.
Thank you
I really love these videos - you are a gold mine of knowledge and experience!! The dress turned out beautifully!
Thank you. Izzy, I am so glad to hear that.
Hello Katinka! Beautiful dress. I really like the pattern too. I appreciate that you explain your process and your thoughts behind it when you do something a little different. The fabric is sooo pretty!
Thank you, Polly. Have you made this dress yet? Did you also find that the shoulders were to big on you?
Very pretty!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful!
Thank you.
Another wonderful video ... and another wonderful dress!
Thank you!!!! So glad you liked it.
Oh I love this! You always get the coolest fabric! I never would have thought a shower curtain could be turned into such a cute dress! The drawstring looks great on it. I have this pattern..I'm going to have to break it out and make one for myself. :)
Thank you Ronda, 😊. You will have to bring it out and make it! I am sure you will love it!
Gorgeous- and worth all the trials and tribulations!! 😊.
Thank you 😊, I am really happy with it
It is a beautiful dress😊
Thank you! 😊
I recently made some wrap pants out of a linen curtain and now have a few requests from friends for some!
Oh how wonderful! Curtains are actually so versatile!
Thank you for sharing how you sewed and adjusted the fit
You are welcome, Francine
@@theseamstressatthecottage A couple of weeks ago I was sewing on a new to me blouse pattern and the facing was not fitting the neck line, after watching a number of your programs I had the courage to unpicked a section and put a seam in the back of the facing. All was well. I am on the hem which I had to shorten by 4 1/2 inches. I like the pattern. thank you
Oh Francine, I only found this reply now!!! I am so proud of you for fixing the facing!!! I hope you have been able to wear the top a lot!
@@theseamstressatthecottage thanks, yes I have worn it a lot on the warm days
Beautiful make❤ I made it too. This pattern is a very good one
It is!!!
A lovely dress! I thought of sheets and blankets and drop-cloth to sew with. Why didn't I think to use shower curtains?????
A whole new source of fabric awaits you!! 😁
Hi Katinka, Do you always serge your pattern pieces before sewing them together?
I'm glad you mentioned about putting the elastic in the back to shorten it! I wouldn't have thought of that.😊
Did you use a walking foot?
Any part that will be flat seams, yes but closed seams no whith them I do the overlooking afterwards. I actually show the gathering process . I do 3 rows of gathering stitches, then I pull them in tight and then smooth them out to where and how I like them
Katinka, is the drawstring seam on the edge or in the middle?
I made it on the edge. It is easier and I don't really find the other way any better.
Beautiful!
Thank you 😊
