I got one broke down right now and am having a heck of a time getting the bolts out of one of the blade C frame brackets. But you have inspired me not to give up lol. I'm hardheaded like you lol. Hang in there bud you won't ever get over it, but in time you will learn to live with it.

Holy Cow, the passing of “mom” is a such a big issue, life for the family takes a new path, hopefully just a slight detour… You brought tears to my 59yrs young eyes, talking about the “good conversation” your and you brother, dad had with “mom” the day before her passing. I had a similar encounter with my gramma (96yrs old) shortly before her passing some years back. She told us she had had a good life, and was all well with the thought of dying. She passed shortly there after, in her sleep. Can’t ask for much more than that for her. Sir, am not a very religious persons, although I do have my own brand of church, on occasion. Interesting about the hesitation between 1 st & 2 nd, we had one from new back in NZ in about 1978 and it had a hesitation between 1st & 2nd from new and the dealers could not ever figure it out as we tried to get it done under warranty but it was like that for ever, didn't seem to worry it was just a bit of a pain that was all. We lost my father in law in March, his ornery ol ass lived 8 more years after he should've died from a hemorrhagic brain bleed stroke. Our tickers are only programmed with so many pumps and he got to use them all and passed in his sleep, however it wasn't directly my mom or dad so I can only imagine how hard that is. Hang in there ol buddy, dozer and backhoe videos will help get your mind off things but also remember that we're still here whether there's a video upload or not. Everybody has a life and you don't have to run yours around us wanting a new video every day or week, so take a few for our pardner Frank if'n he needs it!

The death of you mother will be upsetting for a while, you will all learn to live without her around eventually, you can take solace from the fact she is at resting in peace..... 😔 My dad died suddenly four and a half years ago, so wasn't able to have that final talk so close to his death.... but you just know they are still watching you willing you on Frank !! TD8 proved it, you have pulled her apart renovated the drivetrain and rebuilt the blade pins, a little dribble here and there lets you know there is movement where there should be !!
Where are you located? The td 8e is a great dozer for its size, that being said, it’s an old dozer and to work reliably it will need a lot of attention. Dozers are not cheap, but can do a lot of work that others can’t. I have never ran a td7, but I do know the engine is less HP without the turbo, and the weight is less. IH built some good dozers, but you can expect to spend a lot of time wrenching on any dozer of that age.
