Hey, everyone! Episode 2 will be out in 1 week's time. Just wanted to address the criticism of me talking too much compared to the others. The first person to notice this as an issue was myself, which is why I cut out this whole hour long section from episode 1 in the first place. The fact that we were discussing many films that Alex didn't have a lot to say about didn't help all too much. All of this was kept in mind for Episode 2 and you will definitely notice an improvement in that category. Thank you!
There has to be someone who takes the lead. I thought you guys complimented each other well, and people are going to complain regardless. Can't wait for ep 2. Cheers.
YourMovieSucksDOTorg Hey man, there has to be a "lead" and you did fine. Don't feel too bad about it. You're a wonderful person to listen to and directed the 'cast well. Just allow a little more room for the other two and it'll be perfect. Much love.
I felt that their criticism of him for seeing The Emoji Movie in a cinema was invalid. He did so for a video. Due to that (including the fact that he was effectively paid for the exercise) I think it's fair to say that he saw it in the capacity of a film critic. Given the number of subscribers he has, the justified loathing that he expressed for the film will surely have dissauded a reasonable number of people from going to see the thing themselves - thereby more than offsetting the fact that he paid to watch it.
To be fair, The Boss Baby came out in an early March dump week, while Captain Underpants was released the exact same day as Wonder Woman, so it wasn’t going to make nearly as much money anyway. It was basically Chipwrecked.
Sambou Jaiteh Except Chipwrecked was cancer. I actually thought Captain Underpants was good, but I might be biased because I read the books when I was younger.
6:53 oh my god, I saw The Boss Baby the same way Adam did. Seriously, the same exact way. I know this comment is completely useless, but I just wanted to share this.
Ralph = The United States Adam = The United Kingdom Alex = The Soviet Union Cool Cat = Nazi Germany Zack Snyder = The Japanese Empire Mars Bars = Italy
Only if we get to see some satirical hate towards The Devil Wears Prada. I mean, I admit I'm a basic bitch for liking the film but I would love to see it be shit on
The Nightmare Before Christmas and Kubo and the Two Strings were nominated for Visual Effects. So I guess stop motion animated films have a leg in that category
Jack Ager I feel like people would make the argument that, since those films are stop motion and physically there, that they would outweigh films like Pixar or DreamWorks or Ghibli.. Since they're being filmed with a camera. I'm not saying it's a correct practice, but I can see that argument being made
14:40 Remember when for 2007 Oscars they had Francis Coppola, Spielberg and Lucas on stage reading out the nominations for Best Directing, and Martin Scorsese won the award?
The papas have blessed us with more. I really did want to hear more of your Oscars conversation, it felt kind of rushed compared to the rest of the podcast.
Raven Mare 420 Maybe I'll make them all look like greek head busts, that or the bohemian rhapsody cover. I'll try to capture the deep, souring darkness that twists their souls.
I'm so excited for this podcast going into the future, the first podcast was really entertaining and interesting as you three are my favourite film TH-camrs easily, 3 different styles of humour, different perspectives and your chemistry is amazing, there are a lot of potential if you have guests too, people like Chris Stuckman, Jeremy Jahns etc, different people with contrasting views, both casual and die hard movie fans, even people like Pan from RebelTaxi could talk about animated films, Anthony Fantano could talk about movies scores and soundtracks, possibilities are endless, definitely already one of my favourite podcasts!
18:10 I mean, Coco made me cry even on the second watch, it was so emotional for me but because I'm Mexican lol so my judgement is rigged for the pride I felt for it. But for real it felt like a pure movie, they captured the spirit of mexican families, if not family's spirit worldwide. Of course not everyone will agree but it felt really good to watch the respect put into it towards our culture. I'm glad it won the Oscar
a - muse - me Coco was pretty damn good and definitely one of the better Pixar movies to come out in recent years. While a good movie, a silent voice managed to be my favorite animated movie of the year for just how much of a good adaptation it was of a manga I adore. So good!
I think Blade Runner 2049 isn't being nominated for any of the major categories because it's a sequel. Maybe the academy feels it's taboo to nominate a sequel or remake/reboots for that matter. Even though I think that's stupid, it could be their thinking
Also...like its predecessor its a polarizing film in term of entertainment (Some say its a masterpiece other that its a borefest)...but i would rather that movie to be nominated than some oscar bait like The post or Darkest hour.
the safdie brothers got snubbed for best director, too. the fact that him, villeneuve, and (arguably) lanthimos didn't get noms really goes to show how fucked the oscar selection system is. maybe i shouldn't be putting too much stock into them, but it still makes me angry that deserving films get no recognition.
I understand why adam needs to edit his channel because he does have alot to say. I'm not complaining I could listen to adam all day but I love to hear more of Alex.
My Oscar predictions: Production Design - Blade Runner 2049 Cinematography - Roger Deakins Costume Design - Phantom Thread Sound Editing - Baby Driver Sound Mixing - Baby Driver Animated Short Film - Lou Live Action Short Film - Watu Wote: All of Us Original Score - Hans Zimmer Visual Effects - Blade Runner 2049 Film Editing - Baby Driver Makeup & Hairstyling - Darkest Hour Supporting Actress - Allison Janney Supporting Actor - Sam Rockwell Foreign Language Film - Loveless Documentary Short Subject - Heroin(e) Documentary Feature - Faces Places Original Song - Remember Me Animated Feature - Coco Adapted Screenplay - Call Me by Your Name Original Screenplay - Three Billboards Actor - Gary Oldman Actress - Frances McDormand Director - Guillermo del Toro Picture - Three Billboards
Adum I love you but you have to let Alex and Ralph talk too. Because of the format, and especially because the discussion isn’t in person, other people are going to talk over and interrupt you, but you gotta give in sometimes because if you’re the primary person speaking, it’s really the only way they can interject. Really great podcast overall though!
19:55 my dad was friends with an oscar voter all the way back in the early 90s, he basically got to watch all the nominated movies and cast the vote for the guy because he was too busy to sit down and watch like 40 movies. usually the guy had his maid do the watching and voting for him. id bet any amount of money that most oscar voters do that. it was the year dances with wolves won best picture btw, my dad voted for it but said he regretted it.
YES!! I'm also like "WHAT THE HELL, YOU HATE IT BUT YOU WENT AND SPENT MONEY ON IT??" So glad y'all brought that up to Alex. Love the B-side commentary AND this collaboration in general. Love all of you!!
HOLY SHIT finally some more people who liked Rango. That is one of my top 20 AT LEAST I loved that movie and no one else even seems to know of its existence.
I like your podcast but Alex and Ralph need to talk more. Especially Alex. Because most of the talking is done by Adam. Its very one note. Otherwise its great.
A CURE FOR WELLNESS WAS A KIDS MOVIE?!?!?! (Also "Breadwinner" is on Netflix Instant for those who want to watch it there, comes out globally in a month, so, wtf Netflix?)
Bryan Laguna I know Alex seems to be a lot more critical than the other two but they just don't seem to wanna argue it's just not the point of the podcast I guess
You should watch and talk about 'The Square' - I think that there is so much to discuss about that film, starting with camera work all the way to the message and meaning.
I'm still disappointed in Star Trek's loss to Suicide Squad. I know STB wasn't exactly art, but the makeup and costumes were so amazing... they designed over 60 aliens... like that's wild
Kubo and the Two Strings and The Nightmare Before Christmas were nominated for visual effects. None have been nominated for cinematography though, and only stop motion animated films have been nominated for visual effects (though Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit all won visual effects for combining live action and 2d animation)
SO MUCH YES to the DVD screeners talk. Just how the hell is this still a thing in [the current year]?! Is it to disincenvise piracy because Blu Ray leaks would harm home release sales? I just don't understand how critics could watch a DVD of any new release on the basis of viewing pleasure alone let alone for critical viewing of technical elements.
Brian Treanor yea I know he’s not being rude or anything, but since he seems to be a little more talkative he should probably take initiative and try to be silent at times or to get Ralph and Alex to talk somehow. By asking them questions or talking about something they might know about. This is the first episode so I’m sure they will get better and more comfortable eventually!
Hey, everyone! Episode 2 will be out in 1 week's time. Just wanted to address the criticism of me talking too much compared to the others. I will look forward to it and wish you all the best.

Hey man, there has to be a "lead" and you did fine. Don't feel too bad about it. You're a wonderful person to listen to and directed the 'cast well. Just allow a little more room for the other two and it'll be perfect.
Much love.
Adum gimme succ
BRING MACON, YOU HACK FRAUDS
As someone who’s subbed to all three of these channels, this podcast is a dream come true.
Exactly
Ep 1 was promising
The only one I'm not subbed to is YMS, but I've still always liked him (and he's a really talented guy).
ralph will always be my favorite tho
If baited uploaded as much as what the sardonicast I would be in heaven
And the best picture award goes to
Merryl Streep.
Where's my 3 and a half hour long supercut of the first episode?
Alright great! Got it, good.
Max O'Byrne they should release it on the sardonicast blue ray
The first 20 episodes of the podcast are just unreleased segments from the first recording
Max O'Byrne Can't wait for the Sardonicast Cinematic Universe.
Just wait for the final cut, thirty years and six versions from now.
I’m glad others are still puzzled by Gyllenhaal’s snub for “Nightcrawler.”
agreed! imo its his best performance ever
Alice P Jake is underrated in my opinion.
Bradley Cooper...American Sniper...REALLY?!
Alice P Jake Gyllenhaal is one of the most talented actors of the last decade and he's never been properly recognized as such.
it seems that most film lovers think hes one of the best around, but the academy has never given him much credit.
Them all ragging on Alex because he sees all the shitty movies 😂
I felt that their criticism of him for seeing The Emoji Movie in a cinema was invalid. He did so for a video. Due to that (including the fact that he was effectively paid for the exercise) I think it's fair to say that he saw it in the capacity of a film critic. To be fair, The Boss Baby came out in an early March dump week, while Captain Underpants was released the exact same day as Wonder Woman, so it wasn’t going to make nearly as much money anyway. It was basically Chipwrecked.
Sambou Jaiteh you mean the Road Chip? That's the one that got raped by star wars
Sambou Jaiteh Except Chipwrecked was cancer. I actually thought Captain Underpants was good, but I might be biased because I read the books when I was younger.
Sambou Jaiteh I've seen Boss Baby but not Captain Underpants, I must fulfill my destiny, since I've only filled half of it....
I could listen to YMS,IHE and Ralph 24/7
With the technical categories, you can usually substitute “best” with “most”.
Most Editing
Most Vfx
Most sound mixing
Most costume design
If it was most editing marvel fight scenes would win every year
Thank you for releasing the unused bits. I agree about the pacing issues, but nice to hear as a part 1.5
IHE is a lot more talkactive here...i like it
You spoil us you silly gooses.
6:53 oh my god, I saw The Boss Baby the same way Adam did. Seriously, the same exact way. I know this comment is completely useless, but I just wanted to share this.
Can you guys please add the porn hub links in the bio that Ralph talks about
I just noticed that Alex's character has freaking almonds for eyebrows
Owen W. Deez nuts deez nuts deez nuts hahahahahahaha
these make me much less lonely, I love 'em
same
Dragica Yup
Ralph = The United States
Adam = The United Kingdom
Alex = The Soviet Union
Cool Cat = Nazi Germany
Zack Snyder = The Japanese Empire
Mars Bars = Italy
Why isn't Alex the UK?
HalfLife(Ger) Because I sometimes don't agree on what he says, kind of like how I don't agree on what The Soviet Union did.
You don't insult my beloved Japanese empire like that Boy...Snyder is A Complete Tool.
Ps: I think Adam would be The Soviet Union
So, is I Hate Meryl Streep gonna come out soon?
TheGCritic no we still need i hate mars bars first
Max Von Britannia True, very very true.
Only if we get to see some satirical hate towards The Devil Wears Prada. I mean, I admit I'm a basic bitch for liking the film but I would love to see it be shit on
Max Von Britannia not snickers and it's stupid joke?
Alex's laugh gives me life
Is it weird that Ralph reminds me of my gay uncle?
The Nightmare Before Christmas and Kubo and the Two Strings were nominated for Visual Effects. So I guess stop motion animated films have a leg in that category
Jack Ager I feel like people would make the argument that, since those films are stop motion and physically there, that they would outweigh films like Pixar or DreamWorks or Ghibli.. Since they're being filmed with a camera. I'm not saying it's a correct practice, but I can see that argument being made
Why was clover field paradox not in the Oscars it was clearly the best movie of the year in all aspects
Unnamed gamer haha nice meme. Cloverfield paradox is a 2018 movie. Not 2017.
Unnamed gamer you gotta wait till next years oscars
Next year it will win for sure.
Hopefully It wins all of the categories
Hey That's pretty good Cloverfield Paradox for best Animated feature presented by Woody and Buzz
14:40 Remember when for 2007 Oscars they had Francis Coppola, Spielberg and Lucas on stage reading out the nominations for Best Directing, and Martin Scorsese won the award?
Yes...that was so obvious...i feel like Iñarritu and Cuaron are going to give Guillermo his oscar.
Love yah bois thanks for this beautiful part two of sorts
The papas have blessed us with more. I really did want to hear more of your Oscars conversation, it felt kind of rushed compared to the rest of the podcast.
So Adam dominates two other men.
No surprises here.
Is jake gyllenhaal the new leo in terms of the oscars now?
Cai Gary Oldman is, but now that he's about to win it, yeah it's now Jake
No roger deakins has been it for 14 years
Spicy Qauil agreed but he's also about to win it too if the BAFTAs are anything to go by
Spicy Qauil true but he has to win for blade runner, hopefully.
Also at the very least deakins has been nominated several times whereas jake Gyllenhaal has only been nominated once
I feel tempted to draw some new logos for this podcast.
Ralph needs to look more gay
Raven Mare 420 Maybe I'll make them all look like greek head busts, that or the bohemian rhapsody cover. I'll try to capture the deep, souring darkness that twists their souls.
Do it
Do it
sta.sh/01ngr9b88d2r I've got IHE basically done. What do you guys think? I think it's going well.
More is more when it comes to good content
18:10 I mean, Coco made me cry even on the second watch, it was so emotional for me but because I'm Mexican lol so my judgement is rigged for the pride I felt for it. But for real it felt like a pure movie, they captured the spirit of mexican families, if not family's spirit worldwide. I usually hate Pixar winning the oscar but I honestly believe Coco should win
I agree. I think Coco was a really beautiful Pixar film that wasn’t a sequel and packed a huge emotional punch without feeling manipulative.
I think Blade Runner 2049 isn't being nominated for any of the major categories because it's a sequel. Maybe the academy feels it's taboo to nominate a sequel or remake/reboots for that matter. Even though I think that's stupid, it could be their thinking
Timothy Oldmeadow the academy has no idea what its doing
I think they only wanted to pick one unconventional movie and Get Out beat Blade Runner 2049 to the punch.
Also...like its predecessor its a polarizing film in term of entertainment (Some say its a masterpiece other that its a borefest)...but i would rather that movie to be nominated than some oscar bait like The post or Darkest hour.
Then how do you explain how Mad Max: Fury Road got nominated?
Timothy Oldmeadow It doesn't deserves a best picture nomination it dragged way too much.
the safdie brothers got snubbed for best director, too. the fact that him, villeneuve, and (arguably) lanthimos didn't get noms really goes to show how fucked the oscar selection system is. maybe i shouldn't be putting too much stock into them, but it still makes me angry that deserving films get no recognition.
I want the Director's Cut of the whole Sardonicast, please.
I, Tonya had absolutely amazing editing.
Adum: Yay, I get to talk more!
He talks all the time. Even when the others are talking he is talking in the background
CLASSIC ADAM PIC OF HIM SLOWLY SPINNING WHILE HE’S EXPLAINING THE VID
_"You pull the string with the ball_
_(And it) Away from the wall_
_And you just let it fall."_
-Adam 2018
1/5 of this bonus episode is about boss baby...... My life is complete now
I understand why adam needs to edit his channel because he does have alot to say. I'm not complaining I could listen to adam all day but I love to hear more of Alex.
I'm nere for Alex.
Now I want a Tarantino film scored by Hans Zimmer
Turtles Damn I don't want that to ever happen...
This is already my new favorite podcast. You guys are doing a great job can't wait for episode 2!
Someone put Emoji Movie to Pornhub and clapped and stood up? Was probably Jacksfilms
Wind River deserved a Sound Editing nomination.
Loveless is the best movie nominated that I’ve seen. Fucking amazing. 10/10 don’t ever want to watch again.
My Oscar predictions:
Production Design - Blade Runner 2049
Cinematography - Roger Deakins
Costume Design - Phantom Thread
Sound Editing - Baby Driver
Sound Mixing - Baby Driver
Animated Short Film - Lou
Live Action Short Film - Watu Wote: All of Us
Original Score - Hans Zimmer
Visual Effects - Blade Runner 2049
Film Editing - Baby Driver
Makeup & Hairstyling - Darkest Hour

Adapted Screenplay - Call Me by Your Name
Original Screenplay - Three Billboards
Actor - Gary Oldman
Actress - Frances McDormand
Director - Guillermo del Toro
Picture - Three Billboards
Hahaha, I got a Cloverfield Paradox ad
Adum I love you but you have to let Alex and Ralph talk too. Because of the format, and especially because the discussion isn’t in person, other people are going to talk over and interrupt you, but you gotta give in sometimes because if you’re the primary person speaking, it’s really the only way they can interject.
Really great podcast overall though!
Wait there was more of the sardonicast where only Adam was talking?!
Is that even possible?!
19:55 my dad was friends with an oscar voter all the way back in the early 90s, he basically got to watch all the nominated movies and cast the vote for the guy because he was too busy to sit down and watch like 40 movies. usually the guy had his maid do the watching and voting for him. id bet any amount of money that most oscar voters do that.
it was the year dances with wolves won best picture btw, my dad voted for it but said he regretted it.
lol bullshit
Awesome! My uncle works at Nintendo and he said that Master Chief will be in the next Smash Bros.
good meme
Seriously?...!...
Ps: I love Dance with wolves
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ my life will go on even though i didnt impress Random Guy On The Internet
You three are the only movie reviewers I really like and it's great that all three of you are doing this, thank you for making this!
Kinda wish Blade Runner 2049 got nominated for Original Score, I fuckin love that shit I’ve got it on my phone.
Artoricle me too! My favorites are between the remix of tears in the rain and the first half of Mesa
average k when tears in rain played at the end of the movie I lost my shit
Artoricle dude same. I listen to that shit on replay in the shower
Jake Poundtown I also love how the music is so well woven into the film, that you can’t tell which was made first.
average k it’s my favorite film. Practically perfect in every way
ooooooh bonus content!!!!
2 weeks is too long to wait for more. I'm gonna fuggin explode waiting.
Alex is the key to all this
Greatest Showman was actually amazing, I too had similar apprehension as YMS and IHE, but it was fucking phenomenal.
This podcast is so great I wish I had 10 more hours of it to listen to
Already the best podcast on TH-cam
Glooks on the bonus footage guys! Looking forward to EP 2
YES!! I'm also like "WHAT THE HELL, YOU HATE IT BUT YOU WENT AND SPENT MONEY ON IT??" So glad y'all brought that up to Alex.
Love the B-side commentary AND this collaboration in general. Love all of you!!
I lost faith in the academy’s judgement for animated films when Frozen won over The Wind Rises in 2014
We need an Episode 1 Director's Cut edition.
Its funny how the first podcast got you guys 68k subs lol
More of this so soon? Hell yeah!
HOLY SHIT finally some more people who liked Rango. That is one of my top 20 AT LEAST I loved that movie and no one else even seems to know of its existence.
Amour was also nominated for best picture and won best foreign language.
@Adam
IHateYourMovieMaker podcast
I like your podcast but Alex and Ralph need to talk more. Especially Alex. Because most of the talking is done by Adam. Its very one note.
Otherwise its great.
starkingbiker Shut up
Adums very dominate in this podcast strangely enough
Ralph talks a decent amount, Alex is the one who barely talks.
I think that's why they removed this bit. But i still see your point
its only the beginning, they'll get better at it, plus adam himself is very talkative.
My 3 favorite youtubers..
Jungle Book was almost all animated, and I believe it won best visual effects.
This year's live action shorts are all pretty great.
Always great to have more bonus content.
“Release the Oscarcut”
I'm already in love with this podcast :)
yay 50 min more content!
You guys are making want to watch BladeRunner 2049 even more
Christian Perez have you not seen it? Get on that shit quick boi
Jake Poundtown I know I should boi
Please watch it, you also have the same name as me lmao yes my name Chris for short. XD
aye i got that Good Time vinyl too, best soundtrack of the year
Random Oscar Trivia but Woody Allen actually has 24 Oscar Nominations
Meryl Streep has 21
So she doesn't have the record yet
fatmanfalling I guess John Williams has more nominations.
fatmanfalling The were talking about Acting Oscar nominations I guess.
They were talking about actress nomimations.
Holy shit John Williams has a lot of nominations
Walt Disney has the record
I remember they nominated Kubo an the two strings for visual effects
I think people would be even more into the podcast if it had this extra length, but hey, it's nice to have some more to watch before the next one.
When I had watched this through an ad for The Cloverfield Paradox showed up!
I know Nightmare Before Christmas was nominated for Visual Effects before there was a Best Animated Feature award
I'm really glad u cut this part out the podcast tbh
As long as I get more Ralph Sepe I'm happy.
A CURE FOR WELLNESS WAS A KIDS MOVIE?!?!?!
(Also "Breadwinner" is on Netflix Instant for those who want to watch it there, comes out globally in a month, so, wtf Netflix?)
This is my dream podcast😆
I know you’re all a like-minded bunch of people and you can’t help agreeing on everything but a little bit more banter and discord would be fun
Bryan Laguna I know Alex seems to be a lot more critical than the other two but they just don't seem to wanna argue it's just not the point of the podcast I guess
Bryan Laguna they Will probably start disagreeing on stuff as they talk about more things
It was either Saberspark or Mother's Basement who had a really good video on the Oscars and how they stub the animation category.
YMS never stops talking
Kubo and the Two Strings and The Nightmare Before Christmas were nominated for visual effects. None have been nominated for cinematography though, and only stop motion animated films have been nominated for visual effects (though Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit all won visual effects for combining live action and 2d animation)
Keep up the great work! : D
I love just hearing Adam scream "THE BOSS BABY"
"They literally gave an award to themselves!"
TH-cam is running an ad for Netflix on this video, at the top of the Up Next section. It features the Cloverfield Paradox.
"Always Going Up" Sound = Shepard Tone
Adam you skipped best supporting actor and actress
SO MUCH YES to the DVD screeners talk. Just how the hell is this still a thing in [the current year]?! Is it to disincenvise piracy because Blu Ray leaks would harm home release sales? I just don't understand how critics could watch a DVD of any new release on the basis of viewing pleasure alone let alone for critical viewing of technical elements.
Adam!
I love your opinions, but this is a podcast with 2 other people. I hope you let the other 2 bois talk a little more in the next episode (´・ω・`)
In fairness they don't seem to have much to say. Alex in particular is pretty benign. And it's not like he's cutting them off
Brian Treanor yea I know he’s not being rude or anything, but since he seems to be a little more talkative he should probably take initiative and try to be silent at times or to get Ralph and Alex to talk somehow. By asking them questions or talking about something they might know about. This is the first episode so I’m sure they will get better and more comfortable eventually!
Brian Treanor he does cut them off a couple times
