Remember when the Jazz front office announced "Big Game Hunting" at the beginning of this last off season? Well. other teams didn't get the memo and Jazz couldn't come up with a trade that made sense. Of course no trade always beats a bad trade, so at least the Jazz had the good sense to extend Markkanen. What Leif can't figure out is the Jazz aren't the best team in the NBA but they're far from the worst was well. The Jazz are going to draft between 6-10. Bank on it. Because the 6 dozen teams that were worse than the Jazz last season are not going get better (switch places with the Jazz) so the Jazz can draft Cooper Flagg. Not going to happen.
One other consideration: This is not a single-player draft, like with Wembanyama. Looks more like at least 4-5 really high-end players. We should be able to lose enough to get a lot of pingpong balls. Hopefully, while still developing George, Williams, Hendricks, Kessler and Collier (and others).
Forgive me for being conspiratorial, but I do not believe the NBA will ever allow the Utah Jazz to get a #1 draft pick, especially in a year where there's a high profile player. There's a reason they do the lottery pick behind closed doors.
I've watched the top 4 picks being decided by the ping pong ball lottery the last few years since it's filmed and released online each year. This is done before the ESPN lottery show btw.
So we're projected to not win more than 21-25 games out of 82 games???? 1 player even if it's this Cooper Flag guy, that automatically makes us millions times better? How when we only win 21-25 games? If we suck that bad this year, how in the hell is one person supposed to drastically change or make us better? And then if you actually look at the talent that we have we have some actually good players some pretty good darn talent I just don't see how this good of talent only wins 21 to 25 games that just doesn't compute in my head to me
Start LM, WK, SVI, Williams & Key. Then hockey sub, Drew, Collins, Big O, Sexton & Brice off the Bench. Then hockey sub Flip, Hendrix, Clarkson, Collier and Preston.
Sorry…the Jazz need to be truly, truly bad for them to lose more than 55 games. They probably win at least half their home games…that’s 21 wins, and a 4th of their road games…so around 30 wins would be optimistic…unless they bring John Lucas III back from retirement and let him start at PG while bringing in Ty Corbin to coach and sending WH on a year-long sabbatical to the Caribbean Island of his choice, this team will win too many games…unless we really just rest Lauri every other game.
I think the Jazz are going to be a top 6 playoff team. We are not only shock the NBA World, but also DA & JZ. They will trade the farm at the Deadline and will still won't win the lottery.
Record, 50 wins, 22 losses. Get to 2nd round of playoffs. Lauri, JC, John Collins, Keyonte, Kessler as starting 5, and top 4 subs will be Sexton, Cody, Taylor, and THT. Darkhorse player is Filipowski. This is a solid playoff team, as long as we play vets and steer clear of injury bug.

There will be heavy competition at the bottom of the east in the tank race.

Think we win less than 30 and finish in bottom 7. Hope the ping pong balls go our way.
Ak47+Blake Griffin=Cooper Flagg🤷🏾♂️
We win more on the road
Flagg ain’t no good jazz don’t need him
Now, that's just not true...
Think this draft is highly overrated base how people talk about it.

Maybe I’m wrong, but Williams’ ceiling seems as high as maybe 7 of the top 10 prospects in 2025.
Not 25 30
I think se can get away with more wins this year at least 40

lol. I hope so! Can’t see DA and JZ allowing the Jazz to win more than 30 games.
