Stelena died when they went off Wickery Bridge. Get it? Cuz Stefan dove in the water in Season 3 finale to save Elena but ended up saving Matt so Elena died. Thus, vampirism. Plus Elena said so herself to Stefan in Season 4, "That Elena died when she went off that bridge.. let her go." Maybe you should let that Elena go too. You know the one that was tied to Stefan?
