For me, the show was all about Katherine Pierce's story which include The Originals and The Salvatore brothers which brings us to Elena and all of that so yeah. An ya know, it ends with Katherine and Kai hooking up in hell ;)
Props to Matt who managed to stay alive as a human for eight years in a town like Mystic Falls though. I mean, he did die a couple of times but still.

my perfect vampire diaries ending
everyone is fine and alive and happy, sitting in the town square having a drink and a laugh
then damon (who knows about 60's chevy's) hears the distint roar of a 67" chevy impala, stefan and the others see him get exicited by another chevy in town, they all turn around to see the impala roll up and park behind damon's blue chevy camaro, and sam and dean get out (slam the doors at the same time) and sam uses his spooky wooky detector as we hear (from the salvatore and friends POV) the faint convo of,
sam: "there was a mass vampires vs werewolves vs witches feud going on in this town"
dean: "yea yea i heard the stories, the salvatores i think their name is"
then a wide shot of the TVD group looking half worried half confused
and cut to black with cool music.....
and then, since as tvd is ending, TO isnt far behind it, my "the originals" ending
*2 days after TVD ends with winchesters rolling into mystic falls*
*dean in the impala rolls in and sam follows in damon's blue chevy*
castiel: "they are the oldest vampires, and the most feared"
dean: "oh the originals? they can't be that hard can they?"
*cuts to black*
as much as i would love the show to end with a spn crossover, the audience wouldn't be pleased with such a heavy cliffhanger like that /:

Not just you honey. Whoever doesn't see it, its because they are infatuated with Elena staying with Damon. Stefan and Caroline (Steroline) was such a forced relationship its disgusting to see on TV. No romantic or chemistry not even a "in love" connection everything is so cold and dull.

I don't know if what I'm about to say will make any sense, but I'm gonna say it. Seeing how the Vampire Diaries are about to end with their final season, I wondered if there was any possibility that the Originals show can merge with the Vampire Diaries one more time. As the story goes, both are having more of an unusually hard time. It all comes down to "What if,..." Maybe a powerful witch from the Original can actually being Elena back, and the Salvatore brother can help Hope and her mother fight for their family back. It's like New Orleans and Mystic Falls lending a hand to their own benefits. But then it all comes down to this, "It was just a thought, thought I'd put it out there."

I think that Elena and Damon should be together, Caroline and Klaus should be together(maybe she can join the Originals), and Stefan should be with Katherine. THEY SHOULD BRING BACK KATHERINE. After all, as we all know, there's a loop-hole to everything. So, it's reasonable to say, that there is a way for Katherine to escape where she is through that loop-hole. Katherine has many friends, enemies, and boy toys. I'm sure that there are plenty of them where she's at. And while her enemies may try to hold her-say for a couple seasons-nobody outsmarts Katherine Pierce. And with her friends and boy toys, she has plenty of people to help her. We don't know where Katherine went. All we know is that is a loop-hole to everything, and Katherine will stop at nothing to get what she wants. LET'S BRING KATHERINE BACK!
i can't really think of spoiling, i mean they literally made the most spoiler-safe ending. you can't say stefan died nor damon died because at the end the beautiful thing is that life and death doesn't matter, there really isn't a difference

Bonnie Really Should Gains All the power in the Universe & [Her Grams Gives Her Advice On How To Defeat Sybol, Hell, & The Devil] She defeats them but she dies in the process, Then Enzo kills himself to reunite with her. Elena returns & triggers Damon's emotions, Followed by an epic kiss & then during the funeral of Bonnie & Enzo "God" brings them back [Because she defeated Them All]... We get little bits of the future like 5 years or so with all of them living Happily Ever After!!!... xD It Might Seem Really Far Fetched but it would make one Hell of an Ending... :D

Why does everyone always think that in shows about vampires the vampires need to die in the end? I didn't even watch TVD, but I watch The Originals, and I honestly don't want to see any of the Michaelsons die in the last episode. I had to deal with that a couple of years ago with the US Being Human, and I'm still pissed about it. It's okay for vampires to survive in a series finale, even if they're over a thousand years old.

This is such a simple solution, I cannot believe I haven't seen more people say this. LOL I think that it would be tough to make this happen from the perspective of what Bonnie's character has always stood for, but this would give the fans everything they've been asking for!
