The memories this song brings all these years later... I spend an obscene amount of my disposable income going to concerts. I've yet to find a crowd more inclusive/caring than an anti-flag concert. I'm downright proud of all the times I see groups of people making sure people get to various places safely. I can't count the numerous times people walked with me (with me assuring them i'm fine, i'm a 300lb 6ft construction worker) to my car, because chicago isn't always the safest place at night.
Just got to watch them play live on October 8th, they’re still just as awesome all these years later, still fighting for what’s right and setting an example. Chris #2 still tells everyone to turn to the people next to them and shake their hand and make a friend, it’s an awesome experience
NO MATTER IF A-F IS YOUNG OR IF A-F IS OLD AND NO MATTER IF THEY ARE PLAYING ON A SMALL STAGE OR A BIG STAGE #2 WILL BE RUNNING ACROSS THE STAGE LIKE A CHICKEN WITH HIS HEAD CUT OFF(AND I LOVE THAT lol) A-F ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND A NEW KIND OF ARMY WAS THEIR BEST ALBUM IN MY OPINION
Anti-Flag has always stood for peace, tolerance, and non-violence. Maybe we're watching two different videos, but it looks to me like they're doing just that. By your own definition, they aren't sellouts because they are still producing music by their own principals.
Chris #2 dude im sorry that shit had to happen. its awesome that ur tryin to get some good outta it! Ive been a fan of ur bands work since die for your government and i really hope u stick with ur roots and keep punk music the way it should be u guys rock!!!
Yeah, i am from Austria and i saw them 06 in Graz @Taste of chaos Tour :D It was fucking amazing and i had pain everywhere :D Sorry for my bad english guys! Cheerz!
This is my girlfriend fave song, and I love the message I can't wait until I can see them live, I've never seen them live :(. Oh well I'll definitely see them though. Great song, great message :D XD XDDDDDD.
it's not just a number. It's the date when the planes crushed into the twin towers in NYC. This was used as a reason for starting a war "against terrorism", but really the war for oil.
Excatly, but lets not froget that pop-punk doesnt nessecarily mean bad punk. While alot of shit gets branded that way, we cant forget that we gotta get through the room of shit to get to the horse.
With peace in general, the idea is that eventually all humans will realise that violence only brings more violence, until you reach genocide. Nobody said it would be a fast process, and indeed with people like osama bin laden it may be impossible to make peace. However, the abolishment of organised religion should come first, followed by the removal of selfish actions and deeds which lead to violence, and there are already people who believe in these ideals already.
To answer how bad we were before religion is almost impossible for me, I don't have a wide knowledge of early history. Without religion I doubt we could be any worse. People would be more open minded about others, for one good point. In the past I'm sure you know of the tragedy which religion has brought.
hey Elmo watch this from 2:28-2:34 haha the drummer looks hilarious, and he squeeks just like you said, but this is nothing against him at all he is a great singer, and I am not judgeing him at alll

But it is not referring to 9/11 as in the date. It refers to the phone number 911. However the war for oil is very true.

"As another life leaves this world,
But short
Short on Compassion.

People dial 911 in emergencies. I think the title is a way of stating that there should be a medium to call for peace.
is this vid on cd too?
hey Elmo watch this from 2:28-2:34 haha the drummer looks hilarious, and he squeeks just like you said, but this is nothing against him at all he is a great singer, and I am not judgeing him at alll
