For anyone watching this who was considering the Daija: please note the whole input lag thing has been fixed with a firmware update you can download. I've seen people even last month still reference this issue, but it's no longer there... so if you do see one at a discount price or whatever - don't be scared to pick it up lol.
From this channel I began my stick journey & learned the way of the stick I am now a proud owner of 5 sticks the evolution in order Mayflash F500 >>Qanba Obsidian>Hori Rap4 >>Te2+>>Te2 (Chun lil edition). The Te2's by far my stick of choice and most soild imo. Cheers love the content very welcoming for beginners (:
Thank you so much HurtboxTV. The review and customization video production before the EVO were great. Highly appreciated for all the wonderful tekken combos production with mixbox. Happy new year 2020!
I own the same translucent blue Qanba Q4, While mine wasn't a limited edition. It was however a one off edition that ArcadeShock was selling on their website which they called the "Sky Blue Edition" Which basically a stock Q4Raf Ice Blue but buttons were all replaced for the Sanwa OBSC 30 and 24 Clear Blue and the Stick was a JLF with a LB35 Clear Blue Balltop. I think I got back in 2012 when SSF4: Arcade Edition came out. I still use the stick on my PC as my daily driver. Been planning on modding it with a new art panel with a plexi replacement. I'd like to eventually replace the stock PCB with a Brook UFB eventually, but it's just a matter of not being able to afford it at the moment. You have an amazing stick collection.
I have a MakeStick myself! It's a pretty solid stick. Got me into drilling holes to install more buttons for functionality, neutrik port and installing a Brook PCB for the first time. I kinda wish the MakeStick had an Noir layout plate.
Sweet, I was waiting for this! I also have that Club Namco Tekken Hybrid TE-S, but mine oddly doesn't have any limited numbering on it. I was told from the previous owner that he got it from a friend who worked at MadCatz, so maybe it was a promo/sample unit? Kinda wish it was a low number, but no number is close enough to 1 right? More like 0 lol. It's in great condition too, pretty much mint in the original blacked out box. The murdered out design with the simple red Namco logo is just too sexy, it's definitely staying stashed in the collecsh. You should mod that Hori Tekken wireless stick with a Brook WFB to keep it wireless! I'd just drill out the Xbox button to replace with a metal momentary button for PS/Home, and then replace the sync button with a toggle switch or latching button for tournament lockout. It would be cool to adapt the original battery compartment for a li-ion rechargable battery too. I'm starting to wish I kept mine now.. I might have to pick up another just to mod it, considering they're around $20 lol.
I got 5 Arcade sticks so far, One for the Sega Dreamcast modded with white sanwa OBSF 30 buttons & a sanwa LJF Jopystick, i had to grind away som plastic on the inside to fit the sanwa stick. Got 2 Mad Catz TE 2 Sticks, one of em is a Xbox One Killer Instinct stick with the LED board & modded with a EZ Mod & Brook Boards swapped the buttons for clear blue and changed the artwork for a standard Gray/white TE2 style art instead of the stock Killer Instinct picture ,also got the LJF Link on the joystick to easy remove it when i travel with it, and it has a lot of Binding of Isaac stickers from the Card game and other stickers slaped all around it and inside it xD, the Other Mad Catz TE2 for PS3/PS4 i got very recently used for 10 hours for one hell of a price, and i modded it like 2 days ago with a Korean Crown CWL-309MJ joystick, and changed 6 of the buttons for HBFS-G3 30mm Mechanical Switch Screwbutton with Cherry MX Blue switches and blue button plungers, (IT FEELS AMAZING to push them mechanical buttons with clicks
I can't quite recall if it was your videos, but IIRC it was that, lurking SRK's old Tech Talk board, and MarkMan had influenced me to go get an arcade stick of my own. Got me a Madcatz Soul Edition which now has a Brook board and some nicer art and yeah. I love it quite a lot lol. Your stick collection is mighty impressive!
Abyss of time from tekken tag 2 in the background at the beginning of the vid, i just like the video to support this channel, but that song gave me a reason to like the video.
Holy shit dude! Thats some collection! My very first fight stick should be arriving today im super hyped to start learning it properly. Only got the Venom one for now but i saw your video about the ettoki, ima get that one if im good enough with a stick.
In your opinion, what arcade sticks in your collection feel the most similar to the stock parts of the Mad Catz TE S? I've been trying to replicate the feel of the buttons and loose lever but to no avail. In my experience, the closest one is the Razer Panthera EVO, it has a very nice loose feel that doesn't require as much force to actuate.
I just got the mad catz blazblue stick for $60 and 2 jlfs...I was going to take it apart and put a full collar korean stick but after hearing its limited I'm second guessing now...
Yeah it's best you keep it stock, if it's in good condition I'm sure you could sell it for a pretty good amount and get a different stick to put a full collar K stick in.
Since you have a Daija, would you think drilling 2 extra holes on the left panel would be doable and not ruin the case? I'm considering this option since i'm not a fan of the button placement on the right panel, so the idea of installing a new PCB with extra "real" buttons comes into my mind.
I just got the f500 and I've noticed with games that are supposed to be fully supported for controller that it doesn't work with the joystick, but the buttons seem to work fine. Is there a workaround for that issue or is it just something with the system?
I have the Tekken PS4 Hori and I’m unable to use it on my PC for some reason it doesn’t recognize it. It probably worked twice and that’s about it. Wonder if you had similar problem and if it’s possible to fix it?
At the moment I just want a legitimate and brand new TE2+ for a fair price so badly, don't know where a trusted place can be bought which ships to either Canada or Taiwan (preferably) :/
Which is best to replace joystick with Midway/Williams 49 Way or Ultramarc Ultrastik U360 which are deaper than Korean or Japanese joysticks??? and which have leaf switches.. Looking at Analog Fighting stick .. has a layout that could work for defender. on PC Mame and Mister FPGA
Cool collection :) I have the razer panthera evo and I bought the fighting edge for my brother. Question though do you prefer square gate for qcf inputs? I find that sidestepping needs more effort with an octa gate
i am 48 sticks in.....but surprised you did not have any TE2+ promo sticks i got given the chun stick in box the other day for repair and owner bounced town and told me to keep it and that they could not pay for repair (it just needed a $14 in repair) only own one qanba stick and that is dragon i was never a fan of their products.
I have metallic silver buttons Its going to suck when they break because focus attack is sold out of everything right now. Have never broken a button it will probably happen soon. I own 3 arcade sticks.
the answer i like to know is what guitars u own since if i remeber in one of ur vids i saw a yamaha hybrid travle amp and i doubt u just use it for the audio interface
i got the nacon daija after i atched ur revieuw and to all the people complaining aobut the iunput lagg i dont notice it i love the feel of it and for 160 i doubt there would have been anything better
All the metallic ones do, You have to be REALLY careful when removing them, there's a tool focus attack sells that makes it easy to remove 30mm and 24mm buttons. if you're afraid of them breaking you should look into getting one.
Here are the best arcade stick parts that I highly recommend: 1. A Sanwa JLF lever. 2. A bat-top. 3. An eight-way restrictor plate. 4. Some Hayabusa buttons. 5. For the Noir button layout, I recommend six buttons instead of eight. And 6. For the Vewlix button layout, I recommend eight buttons instead of six.
Lol, those are a lot, and i was feeling guilty for getting a new one. Just got a fighting edge (kinda inspired by your videos), really liking the form factor compared to the other one i have (a hori doa 5 xbox 360 stick, pretty similar to the tekken 7 one you have). Guess i'll swap some parts and call it a day.
hour long?!! Fuck yeah!! also "Stick" around lol P.S. FUCK Hori's 'anti-slip' on the bottom of the Rap N, shit's traaaaassshhhh. It's been like two years and I have yet to change it cuz I'm a lazy fuck. Also spending money on keyboards doesn't help. T_T P.s.s love the rambling by the way P.s.s.s just saw the nonslip stuff from Etokki, how long did it take to ship?!?!
My favorite stick is Razer panther sf5 edition, then qanba obsidian, then madcatz te2+, and hori rap 4..... The shadoloo te2 stick art is stupid, worst concept art ever release... I like the design, never got to hold one in my hands.
When you said street fighter 5 sucks..... that had a hard hit to me... I am a fan, I have to admit sf5 original release was barebone and very basic in 2013... In 2019, Street fighter 5 now has champion edition, has change alot for the better. Have you tried the new version of street fighter 5, more vskill and v triggers.. THere are now 40 characters. The game in my opinion has change alot and is more of a complete game, you should try it out if you havent yet , champion edition. Official champion edition doesnt come out until Feb14. BTW, been waiting to see your collection of fightsticks, wow 30 in collection. Nice long detailed video, only have 6.5 fightsticks, 0.5 stick hori mini 4, which is garbage, meant for children.
Play Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, feel the excitement from parrying a whole super then punishing with our own super, the game don't have such a big roster but it don't need to, its tight and solid and fast paced, combos are not easy, its hard so practice them well or die falling your input when the opponent are in your face, even the low tier characters have a chance when you can parry and punish everything. Best Fighting game still 3s , followed by Tekken 7.
Do I really want to listen to someone rambling on about his arcade sticks for one and a half hour? Yes. Yes, I do.
What else am I supposed to listen to while I'm doing chores around the house?

Razer panthera is way more solid i have both sticks and the te2 top plate has flex panthera solid as
Dude I can vividly remember you carrying the RAP4 around EVO 2016 with the metallic violet/purple bat top on it with plans of "juri-ing it out"
Yeah, that's a lot.
in the Nanco Daija I managed to put a crown 309mj it was enough to cut a corner of the mounting plate
I have seven sticks but two of them are dupes. I like having duplicates.
You should change that balltop on the JoJo's TE2 to a red one with a green shaft cover, so it'll be like a cherry 🍒 ... Lol.
Thank you so much HurtboxTV. The review and customization video production before the EVO were great. Highly appreciated for all the wonderful tekken combos production with mixbox.

You're the one who make me love arcade stick ! What a dope collection !
"Stick around..."

would totally be down for a full video on that blaze bloo radio stick. Chibi art for a chibi stick.

I remember watching this when it came out and having like 10ish sticks. Now I'm almost caught up to you.
I thought about an EZ Mod for The Daija also.
Abyss of time from tekken tag 2 in the background at the beginning of the vid, i just like the video to support this channel, but that song gave me a reason to like the video.
The Qanba Crystal is my favorite stick that I’ve used this year and is still the main one i use
Cameron Singh with the default Qanba parts?
@@eeeh9693 I've been using it for a few months with all original parts but looking for something better

Nice collection you have some unique sticks thanks for this video.
I got a qanba drone on sale awhile back and one of the buttons doesn't work. What should I be looking for if I want to fix it?
Check my drone modding video or my modding your fights tick for beginners videos. That should help you if it's just a bad button.
Can't believe I watched that whole video.. it was good.. Victrix World
I only own a mayflashf300 stick but u bet ur ass I’m buying more later thanks to u for teaching me about arcade sticks

I would gladly take/buy that X1 TE2 off you
Fighting edge is an awesome stick , the weight and feel is just great specially for travel , I added a crown to mine
me too. the weight is good. i'm a big person. the stick sits really well on my lap. product build is really nice. it's built like a tank
How is the lever? Thinking About buying it , i can get t for a good price in my country.

But good videos bro helped me a lot when it came to picking up my first stick

HurtboxTV Ah you mean when installing, I thought they'd break after normal use. Thanks for the tip!
They'll be fine while using generally. Installing and removing is where the tabs that hold them in place can break.
What is your top 3 Korean levers ?
Here are the best arcade stick parts that I highly recommend:
1. A Sanwa JLF lever.
2. A bat-top.
