  • Finishing up our June checks on our last 4 hives. We were able to find and mark a queen but also discovered that one of our hives may be queenless but that is how it goes sometimes.

    As long as you have capped honey on the third frame, there is no way to find eggs at the 1st or 2nd frame (13:50)
    The first hive (as you said) will explode, it needs a super. It is full of capped honey and brood ready to emerge the next week.
    I don't know when you have a flow, but I think that your hives will swarm very soon if you don't give them empty frames to lay and store the nektar. They are in very good shape to hold them in that hive.
