“Stop running you fools. Stand and fight!” Is the most Megatron line I’ve ever heard. No better way to define his character than this ego trip in the face of certain doom.

Sees a gigantic robot ten times bigger than him that can crush him in one blow - immediately starts shooting at it. Gotta hand it to Megatron, he’s got huge steel balls.
This, in my opinion, was the BEST part in Fall of Cybertron. Megatron finally got what he deserved xD I always let him raise his cannon before I bring Metroplex's fist down on him. I make it like I'm gonna give him a chance to fire, but pound him before he can.
I know one time I played this part, Megatron continued to raise his arm to fire even after the second hit. He did it slower with each hit but didn't stop moving till the final Squash at the end.
People mostly focus on Metroplex punching him afterwards, but this is seriously one of my favorite Megatron moments in the entire franchise. His dialogue and actions are perfect and summarize his entire character in one scene. Optimus is also at the top of his game and this scene cuts to the core of their dynamic. There's even a pitch-perfect Starscream interaction. Part of me wishes that more time had passed until Metroplex came online so it didn't overshadow this epic introduction.
The only thing I dislike about Megatron in the Cybertron games is how in WFC, he tells Optimus to leave Cybertron but in FOC he tells them no one leaves without his permission which is told them in the first place.
@@gamechanger8908 I think it's very coherent, it's a last chance kind of situation, Optimus refused to leave at that moment and now it's far too late for Megatron to have some kind of peace, to him now the Autobots must be exterminated, it became a personal matter, not ideological/political as it was before.

He beat Zeta Prime despite impossible odds, and Optimus rescued the "fallen hero" while playing prisoner. He defeated Omega Supreme, and Optimus would rescue the Final Guardian. By the time Optimus earned the Matrix, Megatron finally decided that the Autobots are not ones to be reasoned with, but killed with extreme, *PERSONAL* prejudice.
Usually he stops moving after the second punch, but at least once I've seen a continued animation. Where he still raises his hand and fires again but is much weaker then before.
Everything in this scene is done perfectly The way Megatron was just standing there shooting Metroplex and he was still shooting when he was getting smashed. Megatron shows no fear and giving up. At 0:58 “i wasn’t asking” … just shows how brave and determined Optimus is. SoundWave not wanting to leave Megatron at the end just shows his loyalty. Starscream immediately claiming himself as leader of the decepticons. Man this game brings nostalgia

War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron were amazing and I genuinely wish we had a tried and true sequel, not that Dark Spark attempt to unite the chronology... That was awful

I would’ve liked a sequel that saw the Autobots and Decepticons travel to the different colony planets… It would’ve provided some great opportunities to explore new environments like the jungles of Eukaris, the deserts of Velocitron, and even the oceans of Aquatron. And the ending would see the Autobots and Decepticons arrive at Earth, setting the stage for the events of TF Prime.
What makes this so awesome is how confident Megatron is, and yet while he’s showboating Metroplex just slowly rises up in the background as if he’s like “Hey Optimus I found the-! Oh, who’s this guy? He’s annoying, can I smash him? I can? GREAT!” And then he does so
When high moon made the dark of the moon tie in videogame, they used war for cynertrons mechanics, there was big issues manuvering throygh the levels due to earths restrictions
I still remember when I first played this scene. My eyes widening when I saw Metroplex getting back up outside the window, then realizing I was in the perfect position to command an attack, I knew what was coming.
The music, the dialogues, the scene, the Metroplex coming from behind to smash Megatron all of this was so damn amazing! They really made this game with dedication man

@Harjeet Singh Bhati You're simply ignoring the changes to lore and timeline that HighMoon/Activision made when they pushed the WfC/FoC games. Yes, Omega Supreme and Trypticon are equals in this continuity. In G1/IDW, they aren't. Trypticon was converted into the Nemesis in FoC, iirc. It would make sense that Metroplex is bigger (and harder to kill) in these games.
This is so funny when you consider how easily regular foot soldiers or even the player falls to regular gun fire yet megatron despite all odds and the absolute got shockwave still he lived
Man, this was a fucking helluva scene: Metroplex goes down, so you gotta do the last job alone, but you get caught. Things seem hopeless, worse when Megatron executes those two other prisoners, and prepares to destroy the Ark, ranting the whole time. Then, you see it, looming. The music picks up. The eyes turn on, and the glass wall is ripped off. Then the text appears on the screen. "Metroplex Online"
I laughed my ass off for 10 minutes when I played and saw metroplex slam megatron repeatedly- all jokes aside, this was an incrediblely badass scene that showed off optimus and megatron's true colors, and it leads us to a prime example of soundwave's loyalty as he tried to warn megatron and then spent all that time rebuilding him later on. Great game with great storyline and characters
Having Megatron execute unarmed prisoners just to antagonise Prime makes him being crushed much more satisfying. It's excellent composition by the writers.
This has always been Megatron’s issue he can’t accept responsibility for his actions and would rather blame the war and it’s casualties on Optimus. All Optimus wanted was for everyone to live peacefully and for them to be all treated as equal’s whereas Megatron believes the only way for peace is with violence and death in his eyes might is right.
I’ll always wonder why they built human-scaled stairs when they’re like 20 feet tall or more. You can even see megatron go up the stairs 6 steps at a time.
I wish TFOne Megs doesn't get wrecked like this in sequel He has a lot of deep characteristic in this incarnation while WFC/FOC was a truly Chaotic Evil
This is a great scene, but it always rubbed me the wrong way a little bit. Megatron is arrogant, but he's not an idiot. His fight with Omega Supreme is a demonstration of this. He only fought him head-on when he knew he had a way to tip the scales, and he never just blindly started shooting at him.

I think not every Cybertronian can be repaired after this, Megatron has dark energon inside him, I think that's why it is possible to bring him back.

This is so funny when you consider how easily regular foot soldiers or even the player falls to regular gun fire yet megatron despite all odds and the absolute got shockwave still he lived
Man, this was a fucking helluva scene: Metroplex goes down, so you gotta do the last job alone, but you get caught. Things seem hopeless, worse when Megatron executes those two other prisoners, and prepares to destroy the Ark, ranting the whole time.
Then, you see it, looming. The music picks up. The eyes turn on, and the glass wall is ripped off. Then the text appears on the screen.

I laughed my ass off for 10 minutes when I played and saw metroplex slam megatron repeatedly- all jokes aside, this was an incrediblely badass scene that showed off optimus and megatron's true colors, and it leads us to a prime example of soundwave's loyalty as he tried to warn megatron and then spent all that time rebuilding him later on. Great game with great storyline and characters

Having Megatron execute unarmed prisoners just to antagonise Prime makes him being crushed much more satisfying.
It's excellent composition by the writers.
This has always been Megatron’s issue he can’t accept responsibility for his actions and would rather blame the war and it’s casualties on Optimus. All Optimus wanted was for everyone to live peacefully and for them to be all treated as equal’s whereas Megatron believes the only way for peace is with violence and death in his eyes might is right.
I’ll always wonder why they built human-scaled stairs when they’re like 20 feet tall or more. You can even see megatron go up the stairs 6 steps at a time.

This is a great scene, but it always rubbed me the wrong way a little bit. Megatron is arrogant, but he's not an idiot. His fight with Omega Supreme is a demonstration of this. He only fought him head-on when he knew he had a way to tip the scales, and he never just blindly started shooting at him.
