LOL - I’d forgotten all about that Carling Black Label snooker ad. Thanks for the memory. Some great ads there. They used to be humorous and enjoyable back then. Nowadays most ads are just dull.
Classic Carling Black Label advert there. Snooker at the time in 1984 had Steve Davis and the emerging young Jimmy White, still playing his trade after more than three decades. An early advert there for London Underground. It was one of a series of adverts during the mid-late 1980s. The classic Penguin advert was revived the following decade when you P-Pick up a 'Person'. Never seen this Hush Puppies one. My best memory of it was 1989 to the tune of 'Puppy Love'.
AND...9.25% interest from a Leeds savings account! Shame that unemployemnt was about 3 million, and mortgage rates were about 15% so no bugger had money to save.
Wow the days when adverts were worth watching and memorable. Thanks Neil, great quality
back during the days when it took five years for a movie to get on tv.
fantastic selection of ads! - haven't seen them in years.

Beer advertising and you could order a pint while playing - quite the tickle on
I loved that caramel advert I think they used it for years!!!!!!!
Love watching these classic compilations. Adverts were great back in the day.
I really miss LWT and adverts with a sense of humour.
This takes me back, thanks for the memories.

So you remember the other adverts from 1984-But not Hush Puppies one?
You notice , more famous people used to do more adverts in the 80s
Wish I got 9.25% on a saving account in 2020 !
Yes it'd be great, but paying probably about 14% on your mortgage would be a kick in the nuts lol
Feels like yesterday
A whole lot better of those ads compared to today's ads.
Great ads here. The Cadbury's Flake with the girl in the boat is an absolute classic!
What's fun is watching these on TV and thoroughly confusing everyone.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🌙🌙🙌
9.5 percent interest!
How the hell have I spent 36 years of my life not knowing I can change my grout colour?
In my 40s and I’m amazed!
@0:25 Was the 'minder' who 'revealed the secrets of the biggest names in pop' the darstardly Paul Prenter, by any chance?
That's who I thought as well..
9.25 % interst on savings! They were the days
What, and sky high mortgage rates??
I wouldn't wipe a dog's arse with the Sun
Omg look at the pizza . Pizza hut you need to watch this how you used to make them
6:15 why did they demonstrate the pan by frying an egg on the base of it? That's pretty bizarre
Shame the ads arent the same nowadays.
Yep agreed , it’s because everyone is so PC all the time and on edge incase they offend
Pick up a penguin 🐧🥰
How the hell did wholesome Christopher Timothy end up being the voice and face of The Sun?
Robert Hardy advertising the Leeds building society. Times must have been tough for vets!
A £1million back in 1984 was a big thing if you won it in the Sun Bingo, no so much these days. I always loved the Timotei women!
AND...9.25% interest from a Leeds savings account! Shame that unemployemnt was about 3 million, and mortgage rates were about 15% so no bugger had money to save.
Timotei? I thought that never left Japan! I'm suddenly getting flashbacks to "Lucky Star".
I know it's very 80s, but I do like that white tile with red grout look. xD
Moonraker....... must have been xmas 😊
