WHUR Howard University Radio station 96.3 quiet storm. This song got me through the hardest times in the military. SPC4 Harvey Charlie Guard Veteran U.S. Army Ft. Myer, VA. God bless you.
My best friend graduated high school in 79 and this was the song they played for their senior montage..had folks in tears. Bob and Pauline Wilson of Seawind were amazing artists. The Christian stations should have played them more.
pauline wilson is such a great singer, her voice is unique its one of a kind and it blends very well with the with the composition of the song, the saxophone blowing is so fantastic, its real music, only in the 80's, im glad its played here..by the way pauline is a filipina from a great band known as seawind..
WHUR Howard University Radio station 96.3 quiet storm. I enjoyed listening to Melvin Lindsey play this song on Quiet Storm in the evening. Great college days.
once the song started i was like "oh god this one's gonna make me cry isn't it" and it did. god pauline is such an amazing singer and yutaka is a flawless composer
FOLLOW YOUR ROAD by Pauline Wilson There so many roads that seem to lead down to the sea, I wonder which road will be the right one for me. Others may fall away, dead ending left and right. But there is this one road that journeys far out of sight. Have you wondered where your road will lead you? Maybe to a bright day of sunshine, or a starry night in heaven. Or it might be you're afraid to go, afraid to go, But you've got to follow your road, or you'll never know, never know. We are all travelers living in a foreign land, Just trying to find our way best as we can. Looking for an answer, trying to find some light And though we have journeyed far, it's not quite far enough.. Have you wondered where your road will lead you Maybe to a song that needs singing, or a summer rain Or it might be you're afraid to go, afraid to go, But you've got to follow your road, or you'll never know. You've got to follow your road, follow your road, follow your road. And maybe someday your road will take you far away. You've got to follow your road, follow your road, follow your road. And maybe someday your road will take you far away. Keep following, and you'll find it, And someday you will get there Don't be afraid. You've got to follow your road, follow your road, follow your road.
Awesome song and vocalist, I remember golfing at Mauna Lani years ago on July 4th and Pauline was belting out this song at adjoining Waikoloa. Heard it over the 5th hole, bloody terrific.
Pauline Wilson you absolutely did that. A song of such magic rarely comes together. Follow your road will be playing on the soundtrack of people's lives forever.
I wonder where in the internet can I purchase or download this particular version? Amazon has the Seawind mp3 version (although original, but the beat's too slow.)
@ChaChaS1ide I think you're just used to hearing every little mood and nuance from the original arrangement. Fake & synthetic? I don't think so. The musicians here are some of the finest ever just as are the Seawind guys... Abraham Laboriel, Carlos Vega, etc. This performance is good in it's own way and a comparison doesn't always need to be made....
+steamyboy69 She was actually Seawind's vocalist. That version, for me though is quite mellow compared to this where her vocal prowess is highlighted. :D
Mabuhay and sweet kisses from the Philippines.
Sea Wind, The Casuals, Aura, Green Wood all from a bygone nightclub era so much fun.

Many would hate me for liking this version more than Seawind's. :(
Shucks i thought it 's hers, hers is the only version i know
+steamyboy69 She was actually Seawind's vocalist. That version, for me though is quite mellow compared to this where her vocal prowess is highlighted. :D
she's part of Seawind, duh
No hate from a Hawaii boy that grew up with this song only knowing Seawind’s version.. Good on you for appreciating both and all!! Mahalo!!
Too bad she dontlook like the sultry lady on the cover, but her voice is magic.
