I was hospitalized once when I was doubled over in pain so bad they literally gave me morphine, I started to cry with the relief. I grabbed the RNs hand as I cried and said, "thank-you", he just let me hold his hand until I passed out...
I've been there as well-fractured neck -coming out of anesthetic from neck and skull fusion the pain was unreal, then the morphine hit-pain was gone, and I felt great,I didn't need it for long, but while I did it was great, messes up the sense of time a bit though, but the sleep works wonders.
I was given morphine after a C2 vertebrae bone and wire fusion with halo brace surgery in neck. I quit breathing after they gave me the morphine and almost died.
I would of asked for more medicine.. Tell nurses I am at a 8-9 main level. Here in the states you get nothing for pain. I had part of my finger chopped of, got 5...325, month later my foot surgery..5....325. Amazing how a bunch of drug addicts, fuck it up for everyone.
Good to see Mick playing acoustic guitar, he is a good rythm guitar player. If you think about it he is not just a singer, he plays keys and harmonica very good.
I continue to be immensely romanced by The Rolling Stones. This performance of #SisterMorphine is incredible. So rarely performed live, this was a treat. And Mick just kills this vocally. Superb guitar 🎸work by Ronnie and Keith, so elegant.

Great haunting song. The darkness is real. Who wrote what always confuses me. Mick says Marianne just came up with a couple of lines while he wrote the rest but Marianne says she wrote the entire lyrics.

Everybody looses their parents ......but in many different ways and time ,sometimes tragic , I sat next to my fathers bed after a car accident , and it was probably the first time I had held his hand as an adult , so I understand and can empathise with you , love is what makes us human

No your not old and I know what you mean by Sticky Fingers (1971) sound. Love that Album and this song on it. Mick did great in this live version. Wish Keith played more like original. Also Mick Taylor played on this in 71, so that may also be why it sounds different. ✌️
I was nearly killed on my motorcycle, coming home from work, by a hit and run car and crushed, left to die on the street. I went into a coma in ICU for three days. When I came out of it, I was fucked up on some high-powered shit which they lowered to morphine in a few days while they were waiting for me to die. I was so fucked up no one expected me to live. So I woke up with feeding tubes, IV's and on a breathing machine because my diaphragm was shocked and I couldn't breath on my own. I was paralyzed from the mid chest down. Most of my ribs were broken and they punctured my lungs. So with massive internal bleeding, I had drainage tubes inserted between my ribs to help the blood drain out. I had always liked this song and bought a copy of Sticky Fingers in high school when it came out with the real zipper on the album cover. Now, it seemed like I was living this song. Wracked with incredible pain in those critical first few days, I used to watch the clock and beg for my next shot of morphine. What a nightmare! Come on sister morphine, turn my nightmares into dreams... That was 1988. I've been in a wheelchair since then, still trying to ease the pain with drugs.

My Gran was 99 and her colon twisted. She had been relatively healthy up to then. Since there was nothing they could do for her she was put on a heavy doze of morphine until she passed in her sleep. One of my fave Stones songs.

When I was recently in the hospital and was told I was being put on morphine I thought of this tune......Damn, it took away all the pain but I did not get high....what a waste of a hospital stay! lol

It's not what you want to do but it doesn't work unless you are isolated from the bad seeds. You can get clean it's not for the week but believe it is possible. I did it for 17 years but broke 2017 slammed some ice and my addiction was going again . Choices are not just yours to make your family suffers from the same pain as you. My Gran was 99 and her colon twisted. She had been relatively healthy up to then. Since there was nothing they could do for her she was put on a heavy doze of morphine until she passed in her sleep. One of my fave Stones songs.

Damage is done by the needle but healing is done by the body and mind and soul it's easy just ditch all your JUNKIE friends and move on . It's not what you want to do but it doesn't work unless you are isolated from the bad seeds. You can get clean it's not for the week but believe it is possible. I did it for 17 years but broke 2017 slammed some ice and my addiction was going again . Choices are not just yours to make your family suffers from the same pain as you. I lovevdrugs and what they do to my mind and soul I will always be happy off my face on hammer or coke . Ice will sent you down a mental mind fuck . Beware it's no joke
