The cameraman should have some common sense to show the viewer the "Nuga Tree" as well as the surroundings because we would never get a chance to go on a tour like this. Watching the faces of people is not our intention. We want to see the face of "Ape Hamuduruwo" giving the sermon with a proper background location. Most of the videos of this tour show only the faces of people, not the location. Very sad and disappointed.
I agree with you . If you watch the "Jethawanaramaya Ananda Bodi " presentation by the same Venerable and the group you will see that the cameraman takes initiative and focus on the setting sun through the Bodi tree. This to me indicate that the camerman is capable of doing a good job but he has to listen to the tour organiser who undoubtedly produce these videos not to show these landmarks but wants more people to come to them for tours. Please dont think you will 'never get the chance' . If you are healthy and energetic and have a good friend with the same interest you can visit these places with low costs using Indian railway, overnight (night) inter city busses etc. I visited these places some time back and I listen to the video commentary bu the Venerable monk to gather historical details of the sites. I wish you good luck, good fortune in getting the chance to visit these place by group tour or with a friend.
