It’s been a little while since I’ve flown due to life getting in the way but it’s around 230-250 ish for a 1 hour flight plus the landing fee. Instructor fees are in addition to that but honestly cannot recommend GFC enough My instructor has been absolutely incredible from day 1 and has given me the push I needed into pursuing commercial flying Happy to answer any questions I can

My first solo nav' was to Oban too (what a beautiful airport!). As my day job, I send out the air ambulances that had your clearance amended... sorry! ;)
Congrats on the the CRI 🍾🍾. Thanks partly to your inspiration, I have recently renewed my lapsed SEP and am just starting my IRR. I have been mulling over a CRI and so a video about obtaining one and what you have done with it would be great to see.

With reference to your next video, should your engine need a shockload, they'll open it up and tell you that you need an overhaul. Don't ask how I know!
Jon, perhaps you might tell us the story as to how you got into flying and more importantly why you fly. Personally, its head space for me, “if in doubt zoom out” up in the sky I zoom out from all the chaos and troubles in this world. Also, because flying requires constant attention and discipline and good judgment at all times, I serious believe and feel that when i fly and because of the professionalism demanded in flying that I am a better person all round. It positively impacts many other areas of my life. I feel i and a better person, better driver, make better decisions on the ground in daily life and work.

Excellent video as always Jon. One question: at 4:12 the PF doesn't seem to have their hand on the throttle, or even anywhere near it. Is there a reason for that?
I’m learning to fly with Glasgow Flying Club at the minute, currently 15 and a half hours in. Loving every minute

The audio quality from the radio in that TB10 is very crackly! - is that normal for that aircraft?
