We tested out how fast the Carisma M10DB will run on 2S lipo as well as 3s lipo. With its 3000kv motor we already knew that the Carisma M10DB won't be a rocket. But check out the video and enjoy it.

Nice run man,I'll be getting the truck version in a few weeks!! :)
Thank you! Great choice. Buggy handles great and mine is very durable. Just had to get a new spur gear after the motor got loose
What are the preferred battery specifications for this car? I just have one and I have to buy it from them.
Omg..it look like a brushed motor even runing a 3s..
Im trying a 3s 25c battery today on my ftx carnage 1/10 but its a drone battery , smaller than a rc car one and unfortunatly no hard case.. 😣
Wish me luck
Anyway , Thanks for sharing
Thanks a lot, you're welcome! Well the rig isn't the fastest, even on 3S :D To speed things up, it's necessary to gear up and/or use a fast motor. But as a 2wd buggy it's ok :) To be honest, I go not use many hard case lipos. To test the speed it's fine because you don't bash it 20 minutes. :)
@@Remoteaddicted hi.. ya changing the gears or pinion might help..
I should probably think about ordering some thats true ;)
But finally that 3s did improve on my little truck and IF i burn the engine or esc then ill change the pinion as u mentioned..
* i thaught ur car was 4x4 but it look nice tho' , i really like the bodyshell
Cheerz mate'
You definitely should check the motor and ESC temps regularily when bashing the first few times on 3S. But i never killed a motor or ESC on 3S. I drove an ECX AMP MT with a 28/83 gearing and it's still alive :) Yeah the Casima M10DB is 2WD. I wish it was 4wd :D
What do you mean by 2S and 3S??? I'm new to Carisma RC cars so I have no idea what you are changing??
2S Lipo is a 2 cell lithium polymer battery and has fully charged 8.4 volt. 3S has 3 cells and 12.6 volt. So when using a 3S LiPo battery the carisma has much more power and is also faster.
The M10DB has a 3000 kv motor (3000 rotations per minute per volt). So when you drive the M10Db on 2S, the motor does 3000 x 8.4 RPM maximum. When driving on 3S it's 3000 x 12.6 RPM maximum - ergo: faster :)

Awesome, thanks a lot.
I'm just looking at getting one of these for one of my kids for Christmas so I'm trying to decide between a Carisma and a Tamiya car?
He actually has asked for one of these M10DB but I'm trying to push him more towards a Tamiya as I'd like him to actually build the thing himself, rather than just pulling it out of a box and turning it on!
Thanks again for the information, its a big help.

You're welcome. Building RC's is awesome and Tamiya is great for starting the first build. When getting a Lipo please also get a Lipo-Charger. Lipos can be dangerous when not charged, used and stored properly.

Oh really? I'll ask about that at the shop when I go to buy one, Thanks again for the information.
Remote Addicted 2s is 7.4, and 3s is 11.1, 8.4 is a 7 cell nimh.
Do you know if the Carisma sca 1e Coyote 83t spur will fit this ?
Not sure. I guess you'll need the slipper clutch too if you want to install the Coyote 83T spur gear. Would be nice because the M10DB spur gear is a 92T.
Remote Addicted Thanks for replying dude 👍🏻. I'm looking to buy the m10db next week so I'll pop an sca 1e spur and bigger pinion in the basket and give it a try . I normally run a pretty tight slipper so hoping I can just use the stock m10 slipper pads and make it work . Only plan on running a 2 lipo and looking for around 30+ mph from the stock electrics with 83t/32t gearing ? What do you think ?
I love how scale/good the m10db looks .
Thanks again man 👍🏻
Just in case your interested I'm also looking at an arrma spur gear that may fit www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=392826
You're welcome. The Coyote has a round slipper pad and the M10DB spur gear has a hexagonal slipper pad. I think a 83T/32T gear ratio should be fine on 2S.
Nice, I think I need to order one to test it out.
There's an easier way to make this go faster, is that you remove the spare-tire from the rear mount, and take off all of the stickers and cosmetics.
Lol, you forgot the rollcage.
Need tuning
Probably yes but for a 2wd rig it's ok.
2.06 who farted?
I had my wife and my 1 month old daughter with me. So you decide who cut one 😉
