I was around 12 when this show aired in '92. Marked me for life. Some of these moments stuck with me until today. As a result I love history, in particular the turn of the century, before and after, and absolutely despise war. As for this version, i didnt realize this was reedited. Fantastic job!
Isn't war so crazy. It's so pointless and only the old and in charge profit from the dead. I too love history. Especially the 19th and 20th century. WW1 and WW2 are fascinating. Such huge leaps for technology.
The atrocities of war are no match for the indomitable spirit of Man, in the hopelessness of misfortune sometimes the spark of hope and courage can light even the darkest of paths. This has been a tremendous experience, the full gamet of emotions was drawn out, tragic, poetic, chivalrous and sincerely acted by all. Bravo, bravo to all concerned.

I can still remember what it felt like carrying her, feeling her move - stretching and kicking my bladder, etc. To carry, raise and love one's child only for its life to be sluttered, gassed, stabbed or burnt then left as worm food. Tragic. I understand why war is sometimes necessary but the sorrow of it all turns my stomach. The fact that this guy's editing is truly skillfully in knitting the logic and flow that one's ability to suspended belief, draws one in and put one right there, a mid the blood, guts and gore.
Lest we forget. This series I did watch in my teens and ever wanted to go and visit and pay respect at Verdun battlefields. I did so in 2007 and 2016. So thank you people who did develop this show. And thank you for this episode - i watched today and am remembering two of my direct english relatives, who fought and died at the Somme in July 1916. May all rest in peace. And still - I do hope for the world to learn of our failures and not always repeating these kind of cruel wars.
Excellently researched and the portrayal of combat regarding "trench warfare"(notwithstanding "the sound of the German machine gun" and that they seldom left a "serviceable" crew served automatic weapon behind even in retreat), makes this film a "gem" to watch. Kudos to one and all who made this possible.
I have been looking for this for years, first saw this as a child in the 90's and honestly had began to believe I'd just imagined it, thank you so much, IM NOT CRAZY!!! IT IS REAL!!!
In 1945, The man who invented the microwave, was working at Raytheon. He was testing out a new type of vacuum tube called a magnetron. When he tested it, he noticed that the chocolate bar in his pocket had melted from the microwaves emitted by the magnetron.
Jeez Henry Walton you are awesome for making these available to us all. I've never seen these before. You are correct.... John Williams is a master! His music is so inspiring and motivating!
Noted a couple of mainstays of British TV and movies. Sean Pertwee played Alfred the butler, i think, among others, in TV's Gotham City, Julian Firth, one of the Firths forever popping up in British costume dramas, and, of course, Edward Petherbridge, Lord Peter Wimsey in a number of adaptations, and the original Murdoch of Murdoch Mysteries.
Hollywood never wastes a good script, they just reuse them. I remember watching the original(?) "3:10 To Yuma" movie days before I saw the newer version starring Russel Crowe and the dialogue was word for word identical, as best as I could tell without the script. In this movie, the scene at 36:39. is a rewrite from the movie The Great Escape when prisoner Steve McQueen tossed his baseball close to the wire and used the same excuse as was used in this movie. As a matter of fact I think this is that remake, with minor changes. I guess Hollywood thinks we are too stupid to notice or were addicted to mindless entertainment.
❤😂🎉 it's a good thing and absolutely love it looking forward to it haha I have to say and just a beautiful thing to get to watch every movie in the Indiana Jones collection 😢😮😅

I disagree w/most of what people are saying about this....this is a bad movie. First 45 minutes---people shooting at each other. ....nothing to sink my head into. Bang Bang Bang. That's real deep.
Zero motivating factor. No McGuffin. And perhaps worst of all we have zero empathy with our characters because frankly we have no idea who they are, what they want or what they are prepared to do to obtain it. There were a few frightening setups when the Germans were releasing the gas and attacking with flame throwers but other than that it is hard to digest that this turkey is Lucasfilm. Just 5 years after release of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. As an important side note: young Indy’s ages don’t work either. He’s either too young in the third installment of the film franchise (the River Phoenix intro) or he’s too old in this POS or he’s way too old in 1936 when Raiders takes place 😏
Yes in war you often used captured equipment However in WW1 the French did use their own version of the German potato smasher. It was given the nickname the hair brush grenade
In 1917, the colours ofthe German flag were Red,White, and Black..........not red, gold, and black. The later flag was not used until after the war's end and the Weimar Republic that followed.
Impossible to change the resolution without cropping it. It was filmed for TV in 4:3. Unless I stole the film from the Lucasfilm vault. The quality however, was increased by Anarchy Productions. The real work on these films comes from the editing. I've made changes to the story, dialogue, and even added new effects. Compare it to the original raw film.

When you remember they invented the micro wave by accident you have to wonder what they were trying to make.
In 1945, The man who invented the microwave, was working at Raytheon. He was testing out a new type of vacuum tube called a magnetron. When he tested it, he noticed that the chocolate bar in his pocket had melted from the microwaves emitted by the magnetron.
In my opinion...
They invented the microwave because they had thousands of Magnatrons for Radar systems and nothing to do with them after the war.
Radar!
@@DanBurrington-v7jNope. British had already invented that.

Quite a nifty thing to have when people have you know, machines guns and stuff.
Isn't that the truth war made by old men in the confines and safety of their boardrooms, sad but true.
Trenches during the American Civil War too
Best way to avoid bullets, artillery and bombs.

When will you be posting Part 2 of this movie??????
I'm only using certain parts of episodes. My whole series will probably only be 5-7 videos
For a TV series, production values are great👍
Much better than I expected
Watching from Odesa, RUSSIA. Glory to heroes ! 💯
The Postman is a great film. To make this comparison is chalk and cheese. This is also great. 🎉
The only difference between then and now is technology.
Their uniforms are way too clean.
Very Cool
What is the name of the movie you used to make this one?????? I would like to see how it ends.
The main episode is Treches of Hell, and I ended it with part of Demons of Deception.
