How to Trim an Amazon Puffers Teeth

- This is a step by step video of how I trim the “teeth” or beak of my Amazon puffer! There are a few videos explaining this procedure, but I feel like I wanted to try and make the best video of it yet! I am not an expert, but this is my 3rd time trimming my guys teeth, every time successful, so I thought I’d share how I do it with everyone! Awesome, that was my goal! I felt like I couldn’t find an all in one video with everything you need to know, when I first had to learn. I found myself taking info from a few different sources. Anyways, I hope this helps when/if that time comes! Good luck!
Do you feed him snails to help keep his teeth short,and drugging them up can be dangerous they say its better to trim the teeth without doing that ,he looks malnourished I've never seen them eating flake
Yeah I offer them snails but sometimes they don’t always work. Ive heard clove oil can be dangerous and some people don’t like it. Me personally, I like it and never had a problem. He definitely was malnourished at this point in time. Long story short, I suspected worms after I realized I was lied to about a different fish I purchased that was “dewormed “. All fish were medicated and are doing much better today! My amazons literally eat anything I offer. I’m surprised you’ve never seen them eat flakes. Then again, not really sure how much experience you have with them? Thanks for commenting!
I breed pea puffers he is not getting enough to eat you need to separate them and feed them live foods he is so malnourished the poor thing
