- LNER A4 Sir Nigel Gresley moves under his own steam at 11.50 on Wednesday 23 March for the first time (I think) since overhaul, and leaves Bridgnorth loco yard on the Severn Valley Railway for Highley
Isn’t that one of the most beautiful things man ever designed , love it in black 🖤🖤🖤
Fantastic, can't wait for the A4's to return to the mainline
Preferably LNER. 😁👍
Four minutes long with one minute of action ?????
2:45 to 3:50. The rest is wasted time.😉
The whistle on that A4 is as melodic as a pipe organ. Wow!
Yeah boi! Delighted to see him back at last!
Haha, it's a HER I assure you, She might have a Man's Name on the side but the Loco is definitely a SHE, HaHa 🙂 The name is just to remind us of who designed HER.
Needs an edit to 1 min 30, but I love A4 SNG we go back to the mid 60s.
As a non kettle fan, this is fantastic to see.
Nice vid I subscribed
Sounds chuffing angry that thing. Sounds alive.
Great video well done 😄👍
Great shot thanks. Have seen others along the line too. Love the black livery, I've not seen it on an A4 before. Wonder why they left the tender door blue, to remind them of the proper colour perhaps, lol ?? 😀😀👍👍
thats the colour it is going back to , very soon as well i believe , before it takes up railtour duties
If I remember correctly, the black livery is the Wartime livery, but I could be way off
@@nicoferguson1215 yes it is , WD livery , all engines received it,
I saw that loco John on rail cam which is on cctv cameras
Awesome 👏🏻
There is a door and a window in the back of the tender. Is there some sort of passage through the tender to the locomotive cab?
Yes, that way they don't have to stop to change crews.
Just in case you want to look it up, it's called a corridor tender
Nothing happens until about 2:50.
When the Loco went past the camera - why didn't the camera man turn with the Loco so we could see more of the Lost as she went pass??? 🤔🚂🚂🚂
It's because the video is taken on my phone set up on my tripod with a clip to film the video which I leave to take the video, while I take still pics on my stills camera
@@NSRJohn Oh ok fair enough 🙂🚂🚂🚂
Jeremy is a lucky man!
What a piece of kit.
200 de Km / H ?
The Mallard holds the speed record for any steam engine at over 126 MPH ( 204 km/h )
@@trespire MULȚUMESC .
@@danutolteanu3193 Cu plăcere.
Why didn't they keep it in blue 🤯🤯 It looks so less impressive.
It's alive 🤣
