They did a whole Concert Section. They had like 30 min and did 5-6 Songs with him, not just comeback home, every member got to shine in a different Song at that sho. There was 1 with Yoongi and RM doing one of his Metal Songs, another with Jimin and Hobi singing and dancing. Another with Tae and Jin, this just a small fraction of the Set BTS had with him. Recommend buying the DVD or watching the other Sets on TH-cam. The Reason Hobi got so many screen time, and lines in all of those songs, is because it's right in his alley when it comes to dancing. Seo Taji was already in his late 40s in 2017.
Props to the lady in the middle for being so well aware. Seo Taiji is the father of K-pop. He single-handedly brought individualism to a country that asked everyone to sacrifice for the sake of society...that which reflected in music at that time. There was censorship in korean music industry where lyrics were approved and then the songs were released. Seo Taiji built such a fanbase that the government had to remove the censorship completely. Plus he was the first korean to bring fashion designers to help him with his group's outfits. He gave the blueprint for modern k-pop idols to exist. Everything he did during his time is still followed to a T. Sadly, big companies are now controlling ebrruthing so it's not about individualism anymore but doing what works/sells.
I am absolutely in love with this song also BTS did their very own cover of this song just as a group, my fav but ddis the chorus but I also love the choreo in this performance as the choreo BTS does is the original choreo that seo taji and the boys do
The channel Enjoy BTS More has all the songs BTS performed with Seo Taiji with English subtitles. If I remember correctly, they performed 8 songs with him. That channel has all of the performances twice. She has lower quality versions that have been on the channel for years, then Seo Taiji released the entire concert in HD, and she added subtitles to the HD songs he performed with BTS as well.
You might like to watch Seo Tajii’s 25th Anniversary performance. It is outstanding. Also the history of K-pop featuring Tajii. It really opens your eyes to how K-pop came to be. Also, if I’m not mistaken BTS performed “Come Back Home” at the Busan Concert.
#SeoTaijiAndBoys are the recorded Founders of Kpop genre which started in the year 1993, I was three years old but I didn’t discover Kpop existence until 2004 and became a full kpop stan in 2007 through BigBang and I never turned back.
Hi ladies! Love your reaction to the boys performing Come Back Home with Seo Taiji! This is one of my favorite songs of BTS, I mean their version. I, too, was wondering why only JK & Jhope were featured longer on this song. I barely saw RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, & V. I did find out that in this concert, each one of the guys were featured on a different songs. RM and Suga performed a song with him. I saw Jin and V, I think, were on one. I saw Jimin as well. There are clips of their segments on this same concert. And the finale, they were all dancing with Seo Taiji together. Love love this collaboration! I miss the boys...
The Seo Taiji 25th anniversary concert is on youtube and it's such a good concert. And BTS did so well with all their collab songs with Seo Taiji. Speaking of working with someone you grew up admiring I can't wait for Taeyang (BigBang) and Jimin's collab called Vibe coming out in a few days. It's no secret how much BTS love BigBang's music and so I'm sure this is a dream come true for Jimin.
I think you should do some more Seo Taiji. I do not consider him & his early 1990's "Boys" band as KPop, because KPop had not been invented yet. He was more of an inspiration & impetus for other people to create the SK idol industry. His Boys group helped bring hiphop, rock & choreography to the forefront & mainstream in SK back then. This is why KPop is practically 100% singing & dancing, not singing & instruments (like the Beatles or any rock/jazz bands). That is one niche that KPop has filled, i.e. singing & dancing. You rarely see that in the "west", where singing & dancing is mostly relegated to stage musicals and/or background dancers. Not even other boy bands of yesteryear had any HEAVY choreography. And if you watch more Taiji & Boys, you will notice that they are not pure hiphop, buth rather more hiphop-rock. That is because Taiji was already a rock & metal musician back in the mid 1980's. The year 2017 is mainly a turning point for BTS, as they were starting to garner a bigger & bigger fanbase, especially after their Wings tour the year prior. So to have them get featured here at Taiji's Time Traveler 25 concert in 2017 was also a nice little bump in clout & public exposure. The concert itself is 2.5 hours & can be watched at SeoTaiji's official youtube channel. Unfortunately Taiji rarely puts any closed captions (in other languages) in his videos. However, some other channels have taken snippets of the concert & edited in subtitles. Additionally, if you want to react to "Come Back Home" in another music style/genre (which there are a few different styles), you should perhaps try the following link, which is a live metal (or numetal) performance, done back in 2001 at Japan Summer Sonic music festival. This is his own rock band, not the Boys band, which he had already disbanded ~5 years earlier. This video clip is also a recently upscaled video resolution, as the original old clip was only at 240p. See here... th-cam.com/video/lfg7hXqAVPE/w-d-xo.html . Yes, that is Seo Taiji in the frothy red hair, 2 decades ago. He had also sported red dreadlocks at that time, if you aren't already aware. Today, Taiji is nearing 51 years old, which means he was 45 in 2017 during this concert featuring BTS. Taiji has also basically passed the symbolic torch & mantle to BTS when it comes to a KPop band he admires, because BTS had also injected social commentary in their lyrics, just as Taiji did in the early 1990's, with both groups having risked censorship from it.
Who'd guess that that cute guy is 45 here and a heavy metal head banger? Such a surprise and such an iconic figure in K-Pop. V has been part of the dance line since 2018 but he still doesn't have the skills of the The Three Js. However, he does have a unique style of his own which you can see at it's best in ON: Kinetic Manifesto. Jimin jumping over J-Hope here is nothing compared to the flip he did over him in We Are Bulletproof Pt 2. That was a great reaction. I hope you're booked to see the Yet to Come concert which will be in Cinemas in February. I'm booked for the Reading showing.
You guys need to react to the entire concert before you make any kind of comments. All the members get a chance to perform during this concert. Come Back Home just showcase a couple of the members like JK and JHOPE.

Taiji is culture president in korea. The creator of K-pop

This is one of my favourite BTS covers. You should check out BTS's own version!
