New amp: 15W/ch @ 4 ohms Old Speakers: 3W nominal (5W max.) @ 3.2 ohms (close enough) The new amp has 3 times the max wattage of those old speakers... How is this a good idea? The PAM-8603 would have been sufficient, and cheaper. Good video, visually, but not very clear WHY you are doing some of what you do. 1) Why transfer an old capacitor to the power supply? 2) The old VU meters, what did you do and why? 3) If the old circuit board and cassette mechanism are not used, why not just remove them and make the speaker much lighter? (Any other switch would have done the trick, using the mechanism wasn't entirely necessary.) These are all things that your viewers would need to know if they hope to attempt such a mod. Or at least if they expect to learn anything from your channel. Any insight into your thinking process would be a huge benefit to them. Indeed, I wouldn't call your video a "tutorial" without at least SOME play-by-play instructions. No need to speak, just text will do... like you did with the parts. Or even a few paragraphs in the video description. TE, please do not take this personally. I mean it as constructive criticism to improve your videos. I, myself, do not need you to answer these questions (except maybe the first one), but many would be more confident to try mods like this if they had more information. Cheers!
There are some poblems with this 'setup'. Your device suffer with a ground loop (jittering noise). Install a 1W isolated DC/DC converter on the bluetooth module. Also install some buffer caps on the amplifier otherwise the amplifier can die very soon (there is a huge power dip when starting). I don't understand why you didn't use the internal amplifier anyway.
Would it not be easier to just use a small reversible ( send or receive) Bluetooth transmitter such as the ones used on a non Blue tooth TV to transmit Blue tooth to Bluetooth Headphones etc , connect it to L&R Audio in or L&R Mike in, set it to receive Bluetooth from your mobile & off you go
you could have connected the bluetooth module to the radios inbuilt amp through aux +5v could have been used from the boarditself it uses +12 volts for the motor these old sets have great sound would not have do do so much modification
Don't paint the stuffs at your garden next to the plants, it's toxic spraying tint at them. So, I am super enjoying your videos, but pleas don't do that anymore!!! Regards from Brazil!!!!

Saludos cordiales.

Thank you very much! You're right
Why more power than "necessary"? More control and better sound when you don't have to push the amp to it's limit. 🙂👍
Exactly what I was looking for, using the original hardware as much as possible. Thanks!
look this video it´s more complete

I wish you could show where you got the bluetooth connection and where you connected it.
Absulutely outstanding! My father has the same cassete radioo, just the writen brand is Hitachi.
Yes, Perdisco is Hitachi 😍
Simplest way is, buy a Bluetooth transmitter at 30 bucks which has a 3.5 mm jack and fit in the phones socket of cassette player . done !!!
can you create a video out of that idea
I found a usb Bluetooth receiver
You mean BT receiver? The transmitter is the mobile phone...
Hi nice restoration.
What is the purpose of the Diode on the Meters negative poles at 4:12?
This is not restoration.
Hey! If you put a toroidal 14v, you gain double power minim 9w ×2. I own this boombox. The tweeters are missing from inside!?
I would just connect an Bluetooth to the back of one of the input connectors?
Where did you get that?
Felicidades buen trabajo y muy bonita radiograbadora. Saludos.
Ótimo som e ótima montagem
I don't know what is the use of pam8610 amplifier board in this project?????
Yes, he´s working the module bluetooth and the amplificator separatelly of the recorder amplificator.
thumb down for the VU-meters put in paralel with the speakers
The amp is just distorted.also you have a ground loop .you can fix that by installing a ground loop isolator .
This came out good
new subscriber good work
nice and clear bass from 2x3watts RMS speaker
if the old unit still working, radio, tape just connect the bluetooth module to pre amp where tone control before located
The old unit is not working 😂
Fantastic video again my friend. Love and light. Paul.

A bluetooth aptx module would perform greatly!
What the hell ? This is not PERDISCO. This is HITACHI ! I have it too ! Very good cassete player !

Avoid noise from the sound...!
I’m too lazy. I’ll just buy a Bluetooth speaker and be done
I am missing my 90s JVC
5w x2 only, the bass is hight for 5w speakers 😱
Nice job.

NOISE - must be the cheap PAM amplifier
Or the Bluetooth module
Because the two modules share the same power source, there is interference. You can fix it by using B0505 power supply isolation IC
