Chuck D is a bad man himself. I met they brother in Downtown Memphis while PE was on tour. He gave me a hat while we chopped it up outside the Radison hotel next to the tour bus. Very cool and humble brotha. Chuck D, Ra and myself are from the same era. Those were some good times back then.

@@2KILLAVILLE Illmatic was great and is legendary but all those rappers you just named came from the generation before. They are all greats as well for sure. NAS definitely didn’t kick their ass in the charts because BIG and PAC were way ahead of him in that sense. You sound like you just watched a documentary on illmatic and based your opinion off of that. You must have been in high school in the 2000’s right and not the 90’s

Nas & Scarface both Rushmores as well so I put them in the Rushmore list with them..Nas was Deeper & can talk about alot more than Pac & Biggie & have the Advanced Sharp Complexed Vocab, Wordplay & Rhyming Lyrical Skills to go along with his subject/ Topics. Biggie even admitted that in his 95 source awards interview. I cant say nas didnt sell like them cause Nas 2nd album It Was Written in 96 went 2x platinum in 2 months & was # 1 Album 4x consecutive weeks. Nas was the hottest emcee summer 96. Pac even was even inspired by that album & the track I gave you Power which is why he did Me & My Girlfriend. Keep in mind Nas , Biggie blew up after 1 or 2 albums. Pac most commercial sales & success wasn't until his 4th album All Eyez On Me. 2pacalypse now & Strictly 4 my niggaz didnt sell much when first released.
