I like this video a lot because is difficult to get the accurate pronunciation of words in japanese even in this day, also i like that you use kanji, rōmaji and then the translation of the word, here in Mexico I have an spanish karate manual that only uses rōmaji. I would love to hear you better in the basics techniques part of the video but I really appreciate what you are doing. Thank you!

Thank you posting this information. Just a tidbit… when being trained by Nakayama, Sensei in the early 70’s, he would insist our Mawashi Geri always used the ball of the foot to make contact. I guess even Shotokan changes (evolves?). Can I say “Ja mata ne?” When texting on line? As if saying I’ll see you in your next video. 😊

FWIW: re. one of the comments below - I've only trained in the US (JKA then ISKF), but the only sensei I've been around (including all the visiting senseis at Maste Camp) who didn't correct someone (or give them that stern look) if they addressed him/her as 'master' was Mr. Okazaki (senior). Now Hiro Okazaki is Shihan, but I haven't seen him since his uncle passed away.

Thank you for a good video. I think the voice was a little low in the end of the video with the basic techniques, its hard to hear the pronunciation, because the music is so loud. But I really like your way of teaching. I would love to see a video with the pronounciation of Dojo Kun. There are a lot of people that struggles with it. I would be very greatful if you could do that. Best regards

    下段払いに対して先生はよく「はめに」のかまえと言われていますけれども、「はめに」ってなんの漢字ですか? 「嵌め」と言うことですか? それとも間違っていますか? 道場には誰にも日本語分かりませんので自分で調べていますが答え全然見つけられません。

I'm sad that you added music, because it is so loud compared to the speech.
It's impossible to hear how you say the stands.
I wish there were a language app, where they would focus on vocabulary for karate dojo, or martial arts in general. But to make normal sentences.
Just learning single words feels kind of like neanderthal speech.
