Gyutaro and Ume's VAs were really top notch. Like, in this episode, Ryota Osaka, Gyutaro's VA, portrayed a full range, from dejection, to quiet fury, despair, and what hit me the most was the tenderness in his voice as he was telling Ume they'd always be together.
Mamoru Miyano is such a good cast for these types of smug, self-satisfied, charismatic villains. He also bears a certain physical resemblance to the higher demon in question.
Only thing I was disappointed about in this EP is we didn't get to see the upper rank meeting but I guess they didn't wanna spoil the other upper ranks before the swordsman village arc. But damn this was the most amazing animation and voice acting, they did the manga so much justice omg
I was really looking forward to that bc I thought it would be a really awesome way to end the season but I guess they wanna save that for the start of s3. Makes sense I guess but imagine the increased excitement if the meeting was included.
Nooo! We got bamboozled. I've been hearing that the meeting will probably be in the episode since it is longer. I guess we will have to wait for the next arc 😅. Still it was a great season.

Gyutaro and Daki were such great villains and the writing fully explored the parallels they had through: fortune & misfortune; one's foundation/beginning in life and powerful bonds. Survival as one of the themes as well especially after losing Rengoku... "Whoever survives, wins." Tengen Uzui The way they had to be defeat them and Gyutaro just being such a terrifying fighter it was not EASY and yes the SATISFYING SLASHES of their heads and sound they made when the head hit the ground😃 GREAT BACKSTORY (Amazing writing) AMAZING ARC ALL ROUND👏🔥🔥

Suma is the funniest. She really brought in the laughter to make up for the intensity of the past 4 episodes. I love her hehe
