No word of an Aeroplan Mastercard. Would be nice for Costco but I don't think we'll see one as Visa along with TD, CIBC, Amex were the ones who helped Air Canada buy Aeroplan back from Aimia and I'm sure they wouldn't be too happy about having an Aeroplan Mastercard.
@@RewardsCanada Does the Chase Aeroplan Mastercard predate that purchase? I knew about VISA helping fund the deal but I didn't realize Amex was involved too.
@@NeilBurke00052 No, the Chase card actually came afterwards, TD used to issue an Aeroplan Mastercard in the U.S prior to it as well. I would assume since it was Visa Canada and Canadian banks (well, Canadian arm for Amex) that provided funding that their agreements with Aeroplan are only for the Canadian market so Aeroplan & Chase were free to go with Mastercard stateside.

I’d welcome a premium Marriott and a Hilton card, I’d make a lot of use of Hilton for sure.
Hilton would be a good one - especially if it was similar to their U.S. offerings.
It would be nice if the status stacked with the platinum card, i know that's very very unlikely, but it would be cool
That would be cool as unlikely as it would be!
I often like to watch TH-cam on 1.5x speed but no need for that here 😂
Glad to hear that!
Any rumours of a Canadian issued Aeroplan Mastercard?
