I’m looking at installing the same rail on my Vauxhall e vivaro LWB 75kWh camper. Do I need to drill through the second skin on this too? Never fitting one to a e vivaro before.
Could anyone tell me if this rail is even available anymore? I can't seem to find any spec on it. I am after knowing what size Kador strip goes into it. The dealer I purchased my van from has fitted one but the hole for the strip appears to be 8mm and everyone seems to suggest that most driveaway awnings are 6mm.
When drilling though the second skin does this mean you drill though into the inside? The reason I ask is the inside of my van is full carpeted and don’t really want screws/holes on the inside.
@@The4thDensity Because they are cost saving. I wish they supplied as many as you need. but you can reuse them once the end / middle ones are fixed in.

Why do you have to drill the 2nd skin when you dont for the silver screws are the black ones longer?
The black ones are shorter so we can't understand the need to drill. We are literally at that stage of fitting right now

Definitely available as my father and I purchased one in the last few weeks (March 2023)

They are self tapping screws, they give a thread to the metal for the black screws to use to attach the rail.
