Updating is super easy, and it WON'T delete your existing workspaces! To update, open the Mcreator website and simply download the ".exe" file for your operating system. Then double click the file and follow through the steps (unless there are settings you want to change, you pretty much only have to click 'next'). It should automatic uninstall the previous version, and install the new one at the same location. Once again, this WONT delete your existing workspaces. However, if you're nervous about losing progress, open the workspace before you update, and export a backup somewhere safe. You can always reimport this backup after you've updated!
I'm not great at coding. I can edit other people's code, but writing my own is a whole other beast, and MCreator has been a driving force in pushing me to try making mods for some of my buddies. I understand that some people avoid MCreator mods because they are able to be made by essentially anyone, but I'm glad they're opening up the realm of modding to people who don't always have time to learn how to code! Thanks for making that crop video btw, it really helped me understand what I was doing lol.
You're very welcome! I completely understand people's aversion to Mcreator and mods made with it, but it definitely creates an easy entry point for people who have mod ideas but no coding experience.
PLEASE HELP! I have a problem that I can't seem to solve! When my tree generates, it overwrites the solid blocks next to it as well. For example, if the tree generates next to a cliff wall, the tree's leaves break the cliff wall. How can I make it so that during generation, it only overwrites non-solid blocks? (This isn't about the StructureVoid; the issue is specifically with the tree's leaves and trunk.)
How do you update mcreator? And do you lose all your progress?
