Thank y’all so much for doing this video. I’ve been researching my self to death about what camper to upgrade to that will give me and the puppy more wonderful comfort conveniences without sacrificing our ability to get off the beaten path. Bully!
I have searched high and low for an off-road review of the Sol this is the only one I found. So happy because this is what we want to do ! Thank you !!!
Great video. I know you’ve moved on from the Sol but appreciate the real deal. We are just the opposite. Sold our large Class A and looking for lightweight camper. We are also in AZ (Fountain Hills) so cool to see you came in places we know!!
Hey guys! I loved that you showed what the Sol Horizon can do!! Awesome! My husband and I are going to get the Rover package on the Dawn. Who put the three and a half inch lift on your horizon? The dealership,or did you have to have it custom? I'm curious if we get the smaller RV, perhaps we can go even more off-road then the Horizon? I'd love your input on this please. Also if you get a chance, I'd love the GPS location and/or fire road of your boondocking spot. It really was beautiful. Merry Christmas to you both and happy New year. Jodi
Jodi, sorry didn't setback sooner. I think we upgraded ours just slightly more than the Rover. 3.5" lift, and for sure, the Goodyear endurance tires and the 200Watt solar with Lithium battery.. Other than that about the same. Here is the location: 34.42255, 111.32783 Enjoy and send us pics if you get there:)
@sputters rvrs Are you ever concerned about one of your pups running off out of your comfort range? Especially without a collar? I would love to take our dog but the concern that she would get lost, etc is difficult. Leash is fine, tethering to something the rest of the time is just ok, but for her to run free with us would be great. How do you manage it all?? Thank you!
Ehh...we are helicopter dog parents for sure. But, we let them run around with supervision. They come to us when we call them. Only issue would be if they see an animal, squirrel or bird...haha..But when we say "let's go for a ride" they snap out of it and come back.
