Because Christianity exists in the world. If we're not interested in the world and ignore it, the influence of the world will come back and bite us in the butt. Christians who are engaged with the world can talk to the world.

My guess is that steve Taylor, the guest, is a veteran, respected christian artist and producer -- and I think a label head -- who had experiences with albini.
They just paired the interviewer with Taylor. They just happen to be Christians. I guess?
I still haven't finished the interview.

Steve Albini was an influential culture-making figure who just passed. The ‘90s look like the ‘90s because of him in no small part. So it’s just a retrospective. By two guys who are obviously taking a little license to broaden horizons.

While I think SA was definitely agnostic or whatever, he talked about his mom being Catholic. A lot of times it was in passing, but it was in his background (and it's interesting that the annual Christmas charity was an example of doing "good work". I mean, helping the poor is about as Christian as you get. Again, though, the charity was secular I'm pretty sure) Also, he spoke pretty highly of Low, and they were open about their Mormonism.
