what the hell is that supposed to mean? they were practically a comedy duo. kaufman had numerous appearances on letterman's show. letterman set him up perfectly for all of his gags.
A little factoid: When Andy played the referee in Teaneck Tanzi (which closed after one performance), according to the audience, he was up to his usual shananigans, as he demanded to see everyone's ticket stubs, and he said if he caught someone without one, he threatened to personally eject that person from the theater!
Andy Kaufman was like these people on you tube Amazing'Kzen. So Andy wouldn't say shit about you tube other then way to go for them they are doing what they like to do. That is what Andy did. He did what all of us would never have the balls to do.
I don't want to be rude, but if you think in retrospect that he was not funny, then you do not get what he's trying to do. He wanted people to think he wasn't funny often. He wanted people to get emotional and angry and happy, he wanted them to live. Also, his humor requires a certain mindset. If you come at these videos with a closed mind you won't get it. If you do, you will realize he was a genius or at the very least respect him.
the audio on this is all messed up....i got really scared when i heard the left channel cutting on and off i thought my fucking 150 dollar headphones where fucked...i was about to get all fucking mouthy with some customer service ... lol
I get it. He doesnt want to be thought of as funny. I just dont enjoy it. I know...thats the point. Well I could sit and watch car commericals all day too and get the same result...
*ahem* This is a video about Andy Kaufman. Not how people hate black people or how people hate their jobs or whatever. I'm sure if Andy were still alive he'd go, "Wtf?" You tube has some over reactant people on here. Don't you people have anything better to do? Seriously, it's kind of ridiculous... :/
I think you guys are really harsh and mean with each other, always fighting and saying rude things. Every one of us should learn how to play nice. All the girls and boys and postmen, solders, chasers, tollbooth operators, bus drivers and everyone. Okay?
@dasuprmastr The joke is on the audience. There isn't an ounce of humour or talent in Kaufman, unless you're a barbarian who thinks foreigners are funny because they have a funny accent.
Andy loved grouper. Fish was his favorite. Love him , miss him
It makes me sad every time Andy coughs.
This video was also mixed by Andy Kaufman
i love andy kaufman.

We need people like this so we can point our fingers and say : That's the bad guy.

Wow - Letterman with a real head of hair!
im glad he seems better than he was in the 1980 interview
"Now we won't have to tip her so much."
And this was before "Seinfeld" and "Pulp Fiction".

@Vamphaery i agree. it always upset me that more people dont make that comparison.
what's up with the audio? it's only in the right speaker except for a few short seconds around 1:55-2:15
Some people won't get past their issues. I speak from experience.
That is the best version of "Jambalaya."
Super funny!
Freddy Blassie compliments Andy as his second man.
i agree with you,grandpa !
why did they play manic depression by hendrix when they cut out of that show.
Fuck. Id love to go to Andys house partiea and watch his videos.
Anyone think the theme sounds like Manic Depression by Hendrix????
@TheFoal It definitely is.
Now we don't have to tip her so much.

But I strongly disagree with you.
