HITZ 2002 and 2003 are arguably the most fun hockey games ever. Buddies and I used to play it as kids and just brings back tons of memories. Just a good button mashing, over the top arcade style sports game. Those games and NFL street on GameCube were awesome games. Nice finds!
Love how far the collection is going. I use to repair video games as a hobby. If you exchange it, that is fine if you don't feel comfortable taking it apart. Plus video game store will sometimes put a tamper tab on the back of the case so they might be able to tell if you open it up. If you want to try and fix it yourself GameCubes are very simple to tinker with. More than likely it's either the laser resistance needs to be lowered or the lid isn't pressing the switch down enough, but there is a chance it's a blown drive motor. Plenty of video walkthroughs.

16:38 do they not keep the manual behind the counter togeher with the disc? That's how they do it overhere otherwise they do end up not being complete anymore.
I wish whenever you were little kid there is somebody out there that would gobble up all the games that you wanted to play and then they would reprice them for super high that way you could never play them as a kid you know the same thing that you're doing
I recently restored a platinum GameCube that was doing the same thing. I ended up just swapping the entire optical drive assembly, part was $50 and is way easier than tweaking the potentiometer on the board to try and get more life out of the failing laser.
I love this series so much. I will say, that it is possible to strengthen the Gamecube's laser! May not be what you wanted to hear, but could help if not you others with similar issues. Good luck, hopefully everything works out and you end up with a wonderful working GameCube!
NHL Hitz 2003 is pretty fun, not a standard hockey game, You can play 3 vs 3 on a disco floor, on the moon, in a circus, with teams of zombies or clowns, etc. Kinda feels like a hockey version of the original NBA Jam maybe ? It's pretty awesome,
GameCube gambit is such a hilarious pursuit of catchy alliteration. The the GameCube grind might be a little more fitting for 2021. But it fits Caleb for sure. 😂

I dont know why, but the purple gamecubes always had disc reading issues for me. I went through 3 purple gamecubes from the same place. I finally got a grey one that has worked like a charm since I got it.

Dude!! The same thing just happened to the Gamecube that I just purchased it would not read any of the discs. But luckily they have a replacement Consol for me I just have to pick it up. I’m at 7 games now With Mario Sunshine, as my heavy hitter. Love this series man. Hopefully in the next video You avoid them trash pandas ha.
