Since motion picture film with 35mm is essentially 4 perf minus space reserved for optical soundtrack... This camera I guess could be used for stop motion photography. I mean. 72 images. That's a full 3 seconds of 24 fps playback. :P Hmm... Looking at list prices... 1000 feet roll of 35mm vision 3 500T is... $791.4. .. that's 11.67 minutes. Or 11.67*60*24= 16 800 frames... That's $791.4/16 800 frames = rougly $0.0471/frame. So. 1000 feet at $0.0471 per frame. That's $0.0471*24*60 = $67.83 per minute Compared with ready made spools for this half frame camera... $10 per 3 sec roll. There's 60/3 = 20 rolls per minute. Or $200 per minute Dangit... So. Ignoring all other expenses. Shooting a movie on these half frame cameras is not a viable option after all... :P
I like your way of thinking. I once saw a video on a homemade camera that used printing paper from a printer camera like this one:th-cam.com/video/IL0ovHwRJU4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YrhTODuhn-8E-Vjk to project onto a big screen. Think he used an LED light source. So stop motion. Receipt paper rolls cost next to nothing. Don't know the name of that youtuber.
